This 19th-century former mayor’s house offers elegant bed-and-breakfast rooms with free WiFi in a peaceful countryside setting. In a beautiful old, completely renovated mansion, nicely decorated, very friendly host. The four guest rooms are directly under the roof, you need to take the stairs to get there. The well working and silent A/C kept us comfortable during the night. A bar from the roof partially obstructed the way from the bed to the bathroom: mind your head ;) Breakfast was available at 15€ each, offering plenty of choices, like fresh fruit salad, eggs prepared to your choice, ham, cheese, fresh Belgian "pistolet" buns, croissants and pastries in addition to cereals, milk. yogurt. All of good or better quality. Ample parking facility on the property.

Situated in the heart of Flanders, Johan’s Lodge offers uniquely themed rooms with free Wi-Fi and views of the rural surroundings. It features a courtyard terrace and a bar with local beers. Everything. Freddy and Kalid were fantastic hosts to a somewhat boisterous group of 19 people. They were accommodating, welcoming and friendly and the place itself was perfect. Loads of shared space, great views, a collection of deers, a goose and some great beer - what’s not to like. The rooms were really comfortable, food great, relaxed and I know we’ll be back.
