Set in a historical townhouse in the centre of Hasselt within an easy walking distance from the shopping streets and Market Square, the small-scale Hotel Het Menneke offers air-conditioned rooms, free WiFi and a bar. The hotel location is pretty central to the town center and walking from the train station was no problem and took about 15 mins. I arrived late afternoon when none of the staff were around. The hosts had anticipated this and contacted me in advance to arrange key collection details which were easy to follow and worked without any problem. The room was modern and spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed and nice shower room. Overlooking a main street, the room was surprisingly quiet. The hotel itself is quite small and is a converted town house ( make sure to check the folder it’s the pictures of the renovation project). I didn’t see any of the other guests until breakfast time as there are limited common areas. Breakfast itself was really first class with a nice combination of bought-in and home-made products. The owners, Elke and Bart, we’re super attentive and very friendly. I would really recommend this hotel for short stays as it is very good value for money. I would certainly stay there again.

Rooms come with a seating area, cable TV and a minibar. They also offer a private bathroom with a bath or shower, free toiletries and a hairdryer. A coffee machine is provided. It was the best stay i have had. The couple was very very nice and breakfast was awesome.

Set in a former farmhouse just outside historical Tongeren, Hoeve de Sterappel offers an on-site à la carte restaurant, an outdoor terrace and soundproof guest rooms. Guests can benefit from free access to WiFi and public parking facilities. it is a family run business and the owners and family members were so wonderful. The husband is the Chef and the daughters assist - the food is incredibly good - best I’ve had at a restaurant in a long while. The presentation is something you would see in an upscale restaurant. the breakfast is a large breakfast selection The room was bigger than expected, very clean and comfortable - only 10 minutes from Tongeren. They accept pets (nowhere in Tongeren accepts pets) it was perfect for me and it is located where you have plenty of areas to walk your dog. I would absolutely recommend this location!! I would definitely stay again on my next trip now that I have been fortunate enough to find it. Thank you for my wonderful stay and great conversation.

The small-scale Boutique Hotel Huys van Steyns is housed in the former residence of Louis Steyns, the founder of a famous shoe brand, and offers a private garden and bicycle rental services. Set 500 metres from Tongeren’s centre, this hotel includes free WiFi. From the moment I entered this hotel, I felt a very good impression from the hotel owner couple who greeted me with a very friendly smile and greeting, and I was able to relieve the fatigue of the trip thanks to the beautiful hotel decoration and comfortable bed. Breakfast was one of the best meals we had on this European tour, the hotel staff was very friendly and overall it was a fantastic place. I strongly recommend this hotel!

Housed in an authentic Haspengouw-style courtyard farm dating back to the 18th century, B&B De Oude Winning is located in Riemst. This bed and breakfast supplies guests with bicycle rental services, table tennis and darts. You can relax out on the garden terrace. Breakfast was amazingly good. All the surroundings were very pleasant. Good opportunities to park electric bikes and charge. Sweet and considerate hosts who will do everything well for us guests. We will come again.

In the centre of Maaseik, Het Agnetenklooster offers elegant rooms with a private bathroom and free Wi-Fi. The Grand Place is a 5-minute walk. Maastricht is 25 minutes by car.

Guests can make use of bicycle rental at Het Agnetenklooster. You can also relax in the garden or on the terrace with one of the provided newspapers. This was one of the best hotel experiences ever. The place was beautiful and most important the owner made us directly feel as her welcomed guests and she helped us make the best of our short stay in Maaseik. She suggested and booked a very good restaurant and all her other suggestions turned out to be very pleasant as well. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and it is even a reason to visit this nice little town.
