I loved the pride in the 700-year history of the place, since the point of visiting a historical city is to learn about the place and its history! It feels connected to the very origins of the city. This hotel was one of the best we've stayed in so far while traveling to other European countries. The staff was very kind and helpful, check in process lasted no longer than 3 minutes. Rooms are very nice and clean. Bathroom has floor heating which helps a lot considering it's cold outside. There's also a huge TV and they left us with some complimentary tea and coffee as well as a pot to boil water. Location of the hotel is perfect, right in the city centre where everything is. It was a bit louder considering that there's a pub right next to the hotel but other than that we've had no other problems during our stay and the city seemed quite safe. Breakfast was AMAZING! There are lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan options (although I suggest you talk to the hotel staff), pastries, smoothies, cereals, vegetables and fruits, pancakes, salami, cheese and almost everything is made by locals. And if you can speak English even a little bit you'll have no problems, everyone in Sweden can speak English!
