Having all the entry codes and administration sorted out by email in advance was really good: the ability to just walk straight to my room without any sort of in person check-in was really appreciated after a long journey. The gym was an unexpected bonus, which I was fortunately in a position to take advantage of. Also, the fact that all local takeaways seem to know where it is and are happy to deliver there removed a lot of decision making.

Beautifully decorated room with fabulous views of the harbour. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The bathroom floor was heated! The hotel is on the boardwalk with all the best restaurants & within walking distance of trains, buses, boats, museums. Very pretty city! I wish to highly recommend the Thon Hotel Tonsberg Brygge. 10/10.

Wonderful hotel in the best location - Munch is a favourite so perfect to experience the area, we touched the door-handle of his house and thereby shook hands with him over time . We had an excellent dinner on arrival, amazing cooks and service. Breakfast perfect too. Lovely hotel, lounges and artwork.
