The Palmyra hotel was a positive refuge during my trip to Zakynthos. Prior to that, I had had poor to average experiences at other higher-rated hotels on the island. It is a very professionally run modern hotel that you can liken to the Melia hotel chain in Spain or the Jolly Hotel chain in Italy. Reception is welcoming and flexible. The facilities have ample seating areas inside and outside--there's a TV lounge and many sunbeds and tables surrounding a very large beautiful pool at the center. Marble floors everywhere! Very clean! Rooms had a balcony with table and chairs. Toiletries were first-rate--Zealot of Nature. Shower was modern with a rain shower head as well as handheld; no tub. The shower has a transparent glass through which you can see the bedroom. Beds are very comfortable; you'll have a good night's rest. Hotel guests are not rowdy. The location is in Argassi--in which upscale Michelin-like restaurants like Dominicale, Utopia and Anadalis are found. A block away from the hotel is a bar/club called 360 Skybar that plays American pop as well as reggaeton. (In my opinion, it's the best neighborhood in Zakynthos.) Parking is available and easy to find. Bus stops to area beaches are also within a block radius. Walkable area. Good beaches are about a 20-minute drive away.

Staff are great, facilities amazing, pool felt like a private pool to yourself, and so clean! Joanna, Alex and Costas look after you so well, what a lovely family! You can really relax here. It’s our second year here and would come again next year without doubt! Can’t recommend enough….

The entire facility was beautiful, clean and impressive. Spiros warmly welcomed us upon arrival and provided a yummy Greek coffee in the morning along with welcome instructions for our one day on the island. Breakfast on the balcony cannot be beat! Bed and pillows were wonderfully comfortable. Location was about 7-10 mins from Zakynthos town, so birds woke us each morning. Sunset (kinda) and sunrise each day from the balcony as well. Cannot say enough good things about the place, and if we are ever back to Greece, we will come here.
