Ards House is a traditional Victorian Villa situated on the shores of Loch Etive, in the small picturesque village of Connel. It is within a 15-minute walk from Connel Ferry Train Station, a bus stop and the local pub.

Everything about Ards house was amazing. From the incredible location to the very friendly and attentive staff, it was truly a perfect stay. We only wished we had stayed longer. The room was very comfortable and guests have access to a dining room as well as a large lounge area. If you stay there, do opt for the breakfast. It was delicious, and massive. It set us up for a full day of driving and exploring in the highlands. The proche with baileys was great and their full Scottish breakfast was very copious.

Barriemore Oban Oban, is a charming Victorian townhouse room only accommodation with a beautiful waterfront location on West Scotland’s rugged coastline. The elegant guest rooms have either views of Oban Bay, the sound of Mull and Lismore or woodland, all have free WiFi.

Guests can also relax in the conservatory lounge or the seafront terrace which have views over Oban Bay and the Island of Kerrera.

The building is beautiful, the room was clean and the views breath taking. They even left two bowls, a treat and a bed for our dog. The room is beautiful decorated and with plenty of detail. The owners were very nice and you could see the care and dedication they put into everything. For our next visit to Oban I won't hesitate to stay at the Barriemore Oban again.

The individual rooms at Invercloy Guest House each have a TV, DVD player and tea and coffee facilities. Some rooms have private bathrooms and scenic views, and all feature goose-feather duvets, plump pillows and crisp white cotton bed linen.

Everything was EXCELLENT!! Lovely room with en-suite and wee bay window to sit in and enjoy the AMAZING VIEW of the beautiful harbour! Ferries coming and going constantly. Fantastic location looking right down on the Oban Distillery. The HUGE flight of stairs to get from the seaside street up to the Guest House street was certainly a way to burn off the chowder/haggis/beers (all food experiences GREAT here), but beautiful views and benches at landings to catch your breath and enjoy. Oban and the Invercloy was our fave Scotland stop!

I was in room 101 and it was a huge room with a separate "lounge" area. You could view Oban from a lovely chair and table or just relax in the sofa. The "greeter" was perfect. Friendly and informative. The lift (elevator) is pretty special. :) A wee issue with the breakfast was professionally sorted out. Sunday breakfast starts at 07.30 which is certainly not the norm in Scotland.

First solo hotel trip and the staff made it so easy for me to feel at home. Great to be able to eat early since food is on offer all afternoon and evening. Lovely lounge to relax in, off the bar/restaurant. Great views over the hotel gardens and Loch Etive. Real bonus being freely upgraded so my room had wonderful views over the bay.

The staff were extremely kind and accommodating. As it was our honeymoon, we arrived to find a bottle of prosecco and a tub of Roses in our room, which we were delighted by. The sea view from the room was wonderful. It was such a lovely thing to have a sitting room, where we could relax for a few hours during the rain, and we felt very welcome and comfortable.
