Personal welcome. Airco was switched on in the room. Lots of information/documentation on what to do was available plus a personal explanation on options and possibilities in line with our interest. Advise on good restaurants in the area. Breakfast was top (eggs, fruit salad, several jams, fresh orange/apple juice, different cheese, .....). Area to park our electric bikes safely. It was just perfect for our stay and not too far from Saumur center.

The Chateau is beautiful, fabulous decoration and furnishings, lovely gardens, yet with a very relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful hosts with warm hospitality and full of suggestions where to visit, eat etc. Loved the outdoor pool in the gardens. Delicious breakfasts!

Where to start ?! We loved this place - so much character, Everything was thought of in so much detail… the rooms were cozy and so comfortable, we really felt so well looked after. the public spaces were also excellent , hardly wanted to go out as we wanted to enjoy the bar, the little courtyard, but we had to see the town ! Reggis was also fabulous and a friendly and gracious host!

The hotel has been beautifully renovated and our apartment was delightful: clean, comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, and we loved the city of Saumur. We found a local restaurant with an excellent menu within easy walking distance of the hotel. Check in and parking were easy, and our hosts were helpful and present at all times.

I’m not exaggerating when I state that this jewel of a find was perfect for our stay of two nights. The room was nicely decorated in the style of days gone by, non of this industrialized rubbish accommodation that is far too often what you get for the price we paid. No sir, this was classy, comfortable, historical, with a nice view of the Loire, AND a wonderful and copieuse “petit déjeuner”…think brunch without greasy food. There was a telly, but I didn’t need it…same with WiFi…although, that was good to gather more info about what to see. As for the owners & staff…they were very kind and helpful, cheerful, and well…the Parrot! I’ve never seen one so close up…fascinating…you can sense it is an intelligent animal, and so beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Patio, it’s indoor court, lavish decorations and wonderful hosts. That’s a 10/10 from my point of view.

Breakfast was excellent, the dinner in the evening was really good value and the service was absolutely fabulous. They understood our request for Gluten Free meals and checked with the chef to make sure everything we chose was suitable for our requirements.
