God valuta for pengene. Jeg liker å ha mulighet til å lage enkle måltider og spise på rommet når jeg reiser alene, det passet meg derfor perfekt å bo slik som dette. Rommet var komfortabelt, med god plass til klær og personlige effekter. Det var rent da jeg kom og det luktet friskt og rent av sengetøyet. Håndklærne ble skiftet etter tre dager, kjøkkenet var utstyrt med det man trenger, og badet var av grei standard, med et spesielt godt vanntrykk i dusjen. Hotellet og gata var stille og rolig, to minutter til bakeri og lite supermarked og fem minutter til butikksentrum av byen. Det fungerte godt med kode som ble sendt på sms, og internett var også bra.

The staff was very helpful. The room was clean. Although the room lacked air condition (it was okay, because I knew it in advance) and the weather was hot, the climate in Caen helped and the room cooled down during night, so I felt comfortable. There was enough space. The hotel is in the center of the city. I used public transport for transfers, and the bus and tram stops were nearby.

The hotel was centrally located in Caen and was a short walk to the castle and to old town. We were 2 grandparents plus a family of 3 and we were able to get adjoining rooms, one with a balcony, at the front of the hotel. There was an elevator and the rooms were very quiet and came with air conditioning. We picked up our rental cars the morning we left so we didn’t need to worry about parking. However, I did notice there was an underground parkade across the street. The tram can be taken from near the train station and it will drop you a few blocks from the hotel. Or you could take a cab from the station for a reasonable rate as we did. The rooms were very modern and the beds were very comfortable. The gentleman on the front desk was both thoughtful and helpful. There were many places to eat and shop within walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast was available at the hotel but we didn’t partake as we wanted to hit the road early. There was however a plate of croissants placed in the lobby for guests to help themselves to when they left. I would definitely recommend the Best Western Royal Hotel Caen for a one or multi-night stay!

The location was great. It was easy to walk to restaurants and major sites, but it was also very quiet. The host was exceptionally helpful and the breakfast was great. we would definitely recommend this hotel to other guests.

Sentralt beliggende. Parkering i kjeller , god plass til stor bil. God seng med ordentlig stor dyne/teppe. Godt med puter til sengen.

Fantastic location - very central. All the attractions (except for the D-Day landing beaches) are in walking distance from the hotel. most of the cathedrals and abbeys are very close by. the furtherest away is the Caen Memorial which is an easy half hour walk. and bus stops are literally around the corner if you prefer not to walk. we knew about the 5pm check in ahead of time so we planned accordingly. once we checked in we were given a code for the front door and could come and go as we pleased. the hotel is quaint, full of character and beautifully decorated. breakfast has a nice selection and the owners and staff are extremely warm and friendly. we felt very welcome there.
