The apartment is excellent, large and accommodates a family very well. The kitchen is complete, the beds are comfortable and the shower is very good. The check-in system is self-check-in, you receive instructions by email or WhatsApp and a password to access the building. Everything was very calm and the cost-benefit is very worthwhile. It is not the closest to the center of Zermatt, but walking the 800 meters to the center is very pleasant, always with a view of the magnificent Mount Matterhorn. Sensational experience, I recommend it.

Alpenlodge one of the best hotel that I have ever stayed in, with services and value way more than many 5 star hotels! The lodge and the rooms are exceptionally beautiful, with many unique and delicate touches. The folks who work there are amazingly friendly and helpful beyond belief. There is always cake, snacks, coffee, and light drinks available for guests, and if you book a two night stay like we did, they will pick you up and drop you off from the train station for free. Most importantly, the room we stayed in features pretty much the best view of the magnificent Matterhorn. That view alone is already worth the price, let alone all the other exceptional services. Given how much things cost in Zermatt, this place is a bargain!

The rooms have their own green terrace. It's part of the hotel with free access to the wellness area. There is a family space in the wellness which allows one parent to enjoy the adult area while the other stays with the child. It's equipped with toys and also small space with a little play kitchen and seats. The restaurant Hornex has the play area, so you can enjoy meal while your little one plays.

Very convenient location from the train, check in was very easy and staff were very friendly. Breakfast included was fantastic, best included breakfasts we have ever had.

I love how comfortable the beds were. The shower and toilet were very clean. We were on the 1st floor so there wasn't much of a view but the balcony was huge.
