The Splendid hotel is Montreux's only 3-star hotel on the lakeside. It occupies a historic building and therefore does not feature air conditioning.

Magnificent view at lake, literally across the road from us was shore,perfect location, near F. Mercury statue and shops and bus and train station,room with huge window and comfortable beds, bathroom clean with bathtub, receptionist very nice and willing to help with everything, he even gave us cards so we dont have to pay for local bus. Breakfast with lots of options, jams, cereals, juices and coffee, restaurant also across the street from the lake.
