This was a perfect experience and I can strongly recommend this place. It is a wonderful farm where you can rest and enjoy the nature, the family is extremely kind and helpful, the rooms are beautiful and clean. In the morning, you can enjoy wonderful breakfast, which for us was not just a snack to start the day, but an important part of the overall experience. The region itself is wonderful too and there are plenty of places to see and activities to do. It was the best holiday of our lives and we remember it with nostalgia almost every day.

The hotel is right below the abbey. Wifi connection is stable, althought they don't have private parking, but there are many street parking places avaliable right in front of their hotel, free parking from 6pm to next morning 8am during weekday, and also free on Saturday afternoon and Sunday all day.

Large, spacious, modern and sophisticated, we lived in luxury for a reasonable off-season price. We later learnt that Der Goldener Stern also had a past as a historic inn owned by the Abbey. No staff were seen, and none were needed at this self check-in apartment. Radiator was great for drying washed clothes.

The terrace on the top floor is also a lovely spot to relax after a day of walking in town. The room was well equipped, had all the neccesary amenities for a pension.

Elizabeth is a wonderful host, we asked for a vegetarian breakfast and was spoilt with fresh boiled eggs, garden grown product, local cheeses, fresh baked goods, home made jams, fruit, juice and coffee. Very helpful with local dining suggestions. Was a pleasure to relax at the end of the day in the garden or on the terrace. Room was spacious and comfortable, slept with the windows open every night. Loved the church bells that rang at 7am and 7pm.
