Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe elevators weren’t working, you could go up but not down. I have bad knees and thankfully we were on the second floor so we didn’t have too far to go. But hauling luggage down that was not the easiest way to leave after spending such an amazingly relaxing weekend. I wish the juice was a little less watered down, but that’s it.
We loved the uniqueness of the property as well as the fun little features that just make you want to sit and relax. Like the little nooks for working or reading, the egg seats chilling in the front of the hotel or the large comfy couches with the big arrangement of board games. It is definitely a hotel for families, singles or couples. The rooms are big and spacious. We fell in love with the Not Soap Radio products, now I’m going to spend a fortune buying them lol (totally worth the money). The breakfast was so good and the bar was kept super clean. Oh and the free water and cookies was definitely a big plus :)

United Statesnot a thing was overlooked
This hotel set the new high bar for our family. In town for a volleyball tournament, we booked a stay at Tru. I don't think we will ever forget our stay. Chris, the night manager was engaged, personable, generous and proud of his hotel. This Tru has a very special tradition of rubber ducks, both on display and also hidden about. My daughter and her teammate spent a couple of hours looking for the hidden ducks so that they could turn them in for prizes. My husband and I watched in the lobby as they searched. Never in our (extensive) travels have we seen such a willingness of guests to civilly hang about in a hotel lobby. Some played pool quietly, but most were just at different tables enjoying the night. When we turned in at midnight, there were still couples and small groups coming and going to partake of the well appointed amenities, like free bottled water, or a late night snack or drink. They even had local beers available to purchase. The next morning saw a beautifully laid out continental breakfast with many more polite staff attending. The two young duck hunters told the rest of their team (who were not fortunate enough to have booked rooms there) about their previous night's adventure. Real memories were had here—specifically because of the environment that this hotel is committed to. It should be noted that at the time of this writing, this Tru location is up for #1 of all Tru locations (800+ locations!). Don't miss this one. Immediately following this stay, my husband (who travels for a living) tried another Tru in the Asheville area and reported back that they are NOT all the same. Not even free water at the Asheville one and not a friendly face in sight either. Do your family a favor and stay here. Further, let them know what an amazing job they're doing. This management staff has a gift and they are sharing it with joy.

United StatesNothing. It was a wonderful experience.
The property was super clean and there were plenty of staff members around working hard and helping guests. They were all very friendly and we greatly appreciated the hospitality. We were very grateful to the staff member who let us borrow an ice scraper to clear the snow and ice from our windshield before we headed home. Thank you!

United StatesI have no complaints.
The hotel was newer and clean. The staff was amazing. They brought me more pillows, and when I did a food order the restaurant did not send a fork or anything so the staff went above and beyond and brought me forks, spoons, napkins, and plates! My kids enjoyed playing downstairs at the pool table etc. The breakfast was wonderful too. The beds were comfy and the bathroom exceptional! I told my husband when we have to find hotels from now on we are staying at Tru by Hilton if we can!

United StatesThe room was a little tight. The shower definitely needed to be cleaned a little more. There wasn't a lot to do other than the indoor pool and a pool table in the lobby. The area around the hotel was not the best environment, so we were a little less than happy about that. If we visit Knoxville again, we will definitely stay downtown in a nicer area and closer to all the action.
Overall the stay was good. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice. The indoor pool was a nice touch and entertainment for our kids.
