A gem of a place!! Right on the ocean tons of amenities. Pool, kayaks, ocean, bikes all included, No resort fee. Felt like a resort!

Mattress on pullout could use an upgrade for the price paid, Bikes provided were in poor condition. Beautiful shared porch, but couldn’t use in a.m. because no shade(luck of the draw, as other areas were lucky enough to have trees shading them)

A little less sargassum and flatter seas but that’s Mother Nature. Nothing about the resort.

We liked it all! Everything was great. From our apartment, the view, the staff, the location, the pool and most of all the ambiance. It was very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be back. A special thank you to Matthew for going above to clean out the fire pit, unfortunately due to wind we decided to not go ahead and be on the cautious side. And a thank you to Lisa as well.

There are parts of the resort that need some refurbishment but it is probably an ongoing process, all very well!

Wonderful location, super friendly staff and very nice renewed apartments. The use of bikes and kayak is a great great plus, and the palms with the coconuts give you a tropical feeling. Lovely pool and quite close to Anne's beach

Resort was very clean & well maintained. Beautiful waterfront setting with lovely pool area. Room was updated and had its own small patio. It was not fully occupied on our visit likely due to Easter being much earlier this year. Local restaurant commented similarly. We enjoy the Islamorada area of The Keys.

I didn't like how we were there for 2 days and no one came to change the garbage or get us new clean kitchen towels since we had to use them to put the wet dishes on since there was no dish drainer. The garbage was overflowing after just the first night since we had a kitchen unit. It was also weird how you had to go through 1 bedroom to get to the other or go outside!

Bathroom shower needed a little updating and deep cleaning...moldy grout in the corners but not too bad.to be a deal breaker. We had small efficiency and bathroom very small.

Nice full kitchen with everything you need to cook and dishes/silverware supplied. Living area and was clean. Nice private balcony. Nice views and free use of kayaks and bikes. Access and free use of grill. Right on water with little beach area with hammocks and playground, fishing area with boat dock.

Didn't realize there wasn't daily maid service. We are clean people but it would have been nice to have our bed made and towels refreshed.

Lovely little room. We had a poolside king bedroom. Bathroom a wee bit small but I'm a large person. Loved the small porch with chairs for bigger folks. Kitchen was cute and well appointed.

We, family of 4, enjoyed the heated swimming pool everyday, and used the self-served kayaks to adventure to an island that is 45-min away. There is barbecue grills if ppl like to. Staff is very helpful and friendly, gave suggestions to restaurant, grocery, and activities, and make us feel welcomed. My family likes to plan our activities and out to explore, not to stay in and rely on what luxurious hotel and resort to make statement for our vacation. Facilities and settings at Matecumbe Resort offers cozy and relaxing home feeling when we are not out to explore. Perfect.

The Bathroom needs a fan, ok during the winter but summer would be hot. I prefer rooms downstairs.
