How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very clean could not control the air in our room. It was very hot. Check in lady not the nicest 35 dollars for parking

I didn’t like that they did not have a breakfast buffet option. The breakfast menu at the restaurant were limited and it took a long time to receive service.
I love the location and close proximity to the convention center and downtown

$600 a night. Our final bill for 2 nights with parking was almost $1300. That’s just rom and parking. That’s a months rent on an apartment. Had the room not been so expensive we would have eaten meals there.

Service staff in bar not good especially young woman. Had to hunt for someone to wait on us. Trouble with check. Two men one young & other middle age very good. Personable & attentive!

The lady that checked us in was very rude and cold, coming from Charleston where we stayed and they were exceptionally nice. I was so shocked coming to this lady. We arrived at 11 PM. We were tired we just wanted to sleep . I had questions I asked her and she answered very cold, like I was bothering her and being an inconvenience to her. My husband bought water from the front desk later after checking in and the man was rude as well, like we were inconveniencing him. I also want to say I don’t like that we had no choice, but to Valet Park. I am not comfortable valet parking my car. I wish I would have realized this and I would’ve stayed somewhere else. I’m sure it was in the fine print I would have stayed somewhere else. I would have liked the option to park on my own and walk in. the room wasn’t fully cleaned. One of the towels had markings on it and in our fridge had two 1/2 empty bottles of water. Also on my way out after the valet got our car I slipped on vomit. It was disgusting. The morning staff/valet were friendly.
The hotel is very nice. The location is nice. It looks great. The bed was comfortable.

There is a significant amount of noise from traffic in the room.
We loved the location of the hotel, we were attending a event at the convention center across the street so the location could not have been more perfect. The staff was friendly and we used the complimentary shuttle to take us to dinner. We loved the hardwood floors in our room and enjoyed the hotel restaurant. We look forward to staying at this location again.

The bar and Restaurant was way understaffed and ran out of food. Valet lost Control and that was clear as they kept saying it aloud.

Some of the staff were rude! Heat went out in my room told staff nothing was done about and it was freezing parking was absolutely terrible only had parking for valet at 35 bucks that’s a rip off when you pay all that money to stay there parking should be free!!

Too easy access to the hotel rooms. Anyone could walk in and go up to any floor. Elevators should be accessed by room key only.
The lobby and adjoining areas were very nicely appointed.

The heat in our room was apparently not working correctly and when I told the staff at checkout they just shrugged it off and said “Sorry.” and nothing else.
Very well decorated. The rooms were nice and the lobby as well.

The shower gel bottle in my room was empty. I requested that it be filled on the first day, but it was not
