Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Breakfast was disappointing. Scrambled eggs were rubbery. Plain bagels and kiddie cereals were the only nonegg options. Coffee was watery.

The price is a bit on the high side of hotels in the area, however we continue to go due to the excellent accommodations.
Best hotel in Elko, clean, friendly, easy to relax.

The chair in my room looked nice but was extremely uncomfortable. Proportioned all wrong, hard, and even though I am 5’7” my feet didn’t reach the ground. Maybe it is supposed to have a matching ottoman? Also, none of the desk staff could tell how to drive to Lemoille. This could have been a FAQ given it was the weekend of the Pumpkin Festival. Easy answer is drive down Idaho St to 12th and take a left. Head out of town to Hwy 227. Spring Creek is the halfway point. An area map would be helpful at the front desk.
Quiet, clean, mattress was very comfortable. Breakfast was nice.

The name makes you think of a scary movie and the logo makes me giggle but the rooms were very clean & comfortable beds so can’t complain!
Breakfast burritos were great 👍 especially before a long car ride. Front desk staff was super nice & helpful. Loved the 24 hour pool & spa.

The toilet wouldn’t flush and when we told the front desk one guy handed us a plunger and suggested we try that. We already knew it had to do with water flow. They went up to fix it, but when we went back to shower, it had the same problem. They gave us a different room after we said we wanted to talk with the manager.
The bed was comfy, shower great.

No hot breakfast available. Kitchen was closed during our stay.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and quiet. Easy access to the area.Great place to stay this will be our 4th time staying at this hotel.

Young children running around the lobby at midnight, and smashing Cheetos in the elevator. Not sure how staff could have controlled this better, but it wasn't an attractive scene to encounter when we checked in very late and exhausted.
Convenient to the freeway for our long-distance road trip across the country.

While most of the room seemed clean, the bathroom floor was horrible. There was trash on the floor, urine on the floor and toilet. The Fridge was dirty inside. The lounge chair was extremely uncomfortable. The office chair was broken.
The building is non-smoking! The number of amenities - including fitness center, pool, good wifi and more. The hot water for the shower was consistent and refreshing. Breakfast was amazing with a number of options. Location was easy to access.

The location was easily accessible from the highway and our room had a pretty good view of the mountains. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great since it was freshly prepared for each guest rather than buffet style.
