Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Did not have an extra pillow to provide when asked. We had to have our room key re-keyed on two different days. Also, the location was not great for our needs. It is close to interstates if needed.
The rooms were clean and met our needs for a three-night stay.

Location is nice, but when I arrived close to midnight (after my family) there were two cars in the parking lot blasting music with the doors open. No one was doing anything about it. Sofa bed was barely usable. The mattress has springs inside that could be felt through the fabric and made terrible noise with minimal movement. My room’s shower floor doesn't have good grip. Since the first 10-12” are slightly inclined, it becomes a trip hazard.
Good location with a nice view to an artificial lake. Very kind staff, most everyone was welcoming and helpful. Clean facilities, clean rooms. Everything is as per the picture shown in the website.

I didn't like when I want change hotel they didn't like returning the money for my account they are press me to pay for Uper extra money and daily long trip.

We had reserved a room for us and our 2 dogs, the front desk put us on the 2nd floor, near the end of the hall. This was not convenient for taking our dogs out of the facility a couple times a day. The breakfast was very small and wasn’t resupplied after things ran out. Disappointing.
The location was perfect for everything we needed to do. The grounds were clean. Our room was efficient.

Check in was very simple as we booked ahead of time but upon arriving to our original room there was a very strong smell of urine in the air. It was so strong we requested a move to the only room that was available at the time which had one less bed than what we needed. We were thankful for the quick accommodation and were able to move in less than five minutes. Also the new room shower handle was broken (not so safe especially when traveling with children).
Location was great being close to everything and the staff were accommodating and knowledgeable of facilities. If there were concerns there was always someone there to assist. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were nice and quiet and everything encouraged a very independent stay.

The sink in the bath was too high and not enough space to work around, towels requested were not delivered, I had to go downstairs to pick them up myself

The "free" breakfast was not very good, and by the time we arrived downstairs most of the food was gone. We waited for someone to come refilll the food but we needed to get on with our day,
The element hotel is located right off the highway, and very close to Costco and many other restaurants and shops. Great for visitors traveling into Houston for events. The hotel was very clean and our room was very large.

Cleanliness was sub par and is immediately noticeable throughout the lobby. We also asked for extra towels but never got any. Breakfast was awful. lack of choices and definitely low quality food.
