Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaUnfortunately, the cafe was closed and this was not advertised on the booking.com site. We were excited to dine downstairs as we'd eaten there before. Limited dining in immediate area, what we did find to eat was sub par likely due to staffing in winter and pandemic.
Suite was wonderful and clean.

Location is in the "center" of small town. Restaurant next door was nice and food was good. Room was very good and big bathroom, all very clean. Coffees in room, super to have since there is no breakfast offered. Supermarket just outside of town, 5 minute drive.

United States of AmericaWell to start I booked this room for the night of my birthday after travelling 1700 miles to see this area of Maine. I specifically wanted a pet friendly room I could leave my dog in comfortable for an hour while I got my first lobster dinner. This place appeared to check both boxes but not only are they unclear on the listing here about their restaurant hours (i was here April 24 they don't open it until june) but when I mentioned in conversation I wanted to leave my dog just for a bit I was told pets aren't allowed unattended in rooms whatsoever not even in a crate, nor even allowed on furniture? Kind of defeats the entire purpose of a pet "friendly" hotel. I suppose they don't want to hear dogs barking through the very thin walls but don't seem to mind you can hear the uh, other adults having extra curricular activities in the night through those thin walls. Anyway I had to order takeout for my birthday while my dog waited in my truck, got back to the room and had been relaxing on the bed for a good hour when I noticed a literal blood stain on the comforter next to my head so I stripped the bed entirely, brought in my own bedding from my converted truck camper I should have stayed in for free, and took a shower immediately. If you decide to stay here anyway be aware the water temp panel in room 2 is on backwards, cold is actually hot and hot is cold. And the final frustration was the morning after, theres a note near the door when you arrive saying they are not currently doing housekeeping while guests are in room and to call if you need anything. Well check out is 10am i set an alarm for 930 to get up and get out quickly. Here they come knocking on my door around 9 am waking me up before I was ready by sending my dog barking asking if I need housekeeping! Thanks but the rude wake up call was the cherry on top to this terrible stay.
Location was about the only decent thing unfortunately

United States of AmericaThe shower was wonderful if you like to shower in the size of a coffin! Lady's don't both even bringing a razor to shaver your legs! Not gonna happen. The floors creek pretty bad. The stairs are very wide and many of them. No elevator. The neighbors were pretty loud our last night. We could hear the restaurant noise below while trying to sleep, and a dog barking. The ceiling fan had a light bulb out, and dust hanging from the blades. Marty did clean the blades as soon as I called her about it. The little side table lamp had a wobbly base and light bulb. definitely a fire hazard! The cabinet door had been broken before we got there. Marty told me they would get it fixed on Monday, but it never did get fixed while we were there, even though I told her they could come in to fix it. Be ready to travel for breakfast!
Location was fine.
