It felt like visiting friends :) We had everything we need, Pablo and Olivia were so kind, they made us a plan and showed us the best places to visit during our stay. The location is great, we had rented a car and we loved everything about our stay. The studio is new, cozy and clean. Olivia was so kind and sweet - she even washed our clothes. We had a basket of local products as a gift :) I really could not recommend this place more! We would love to return one day ❤️

Maybe the bed could have been a bit firmer? But that's definitely a personal opinion as I don't care for soft memory foam mattresses. Pineapple Studio is perfection. We cannot sing its praises high enough.

Pineapple Studio is run by a wonderful couple, Graca and her husband Paulo a policeman. It’s named Pineapple Studio because they also run their generational business of greenhouses in which they raise pineapples. It’s a wonderful apartment, with Graca as the best host anyone could possibly hope for, always looking for a way to go above and beyond. It’s spotlessly clean. Everyday she changes the (very nice) towels, makes the bed and cleans! Her personal touches were greatly appreciated such as the basket of packages of cookies, crackers, chips and even a bag of oatmeal. The wifi signal was great, the shower was hot with great water pressure, the bed was comfortable (although I found it a bit soft), the area was very quiet, the kitchen came with every type of utensil or dish one would need to make a meal on either a 4 burner stove top and a microwave (no oven). There was even a washing machine onsite and although we didn’t make use of it, this was an amenity that was difficult to find in our travels. Free parking is right onsite--literally just steps away from the front door. And the property has a steel security gate that makes everything private. There's a shopping mall and 2 large grocery stores both within about a 10 maybe 15 minute drive from the property. Perhaps within about 2-4 blocks away there are 3 different small beaches where you can watch the waves crash into shore. And the airport is about a 15-20 minute drive away. We wanted to extend a special thank you to Graca for her assistance to us the first morning after we arrived so late the night before. Thank you for your assistance with the rental car place. And we appreciate your understanding with my extreme fatigue after almost 3 weeks of being on the road. All I wanted to do was sleep and Pineapple Studio provided a home away from home for us where we could relax and catch our breath. Thank you Graca for all your efforts. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer.

Our second stay at this apartment was just as wonderful as the first, if not more so! The cleanliness of the place was exceptional, with daily housekeeping keeping everything spotless and fresh towels provided each day. Everything was very clean as well equipped. The hosts, Graça and Paulo, were friendly, helpful and informative. We really enjoyed our chance to talk with them and appreciated learning more about their pineapple production. The walk to town to a couple of different, excellent restaurants, was not far. It was very easy to get from their place to the airport in the morning.

We have had very good experience during our 2 weeks stay at this place. The owners are wonderful and very helpful. If you have no idea how to explore the island with a great enthusiasm they help plan a tour. The apartment is well equipped, nothing is missing, an additional advantage is a place to park, so you do not have to worry about where to leave the car. Graça often does laundry so you can confidently take fewer clothes. Graça and Paulo have created a magical atmosphere and staying at Pineapple Studio makes you feel at home. Highly recommended!

the host are the best ever encountered!!!!!!(friends for life) it’s a Paradise in Sao Miguel!!!!! We got there early(9-10am),Paulo and Graca made us feel welcome right away ❤️Paulo started drawing a plan on what to do for 3 days on the islands and places to eat ❤️I followed the plan, and my wife and daughter added a couple things! Second day, Paulo showed us their pineapple plantation!!!!!❤️-no need to go to Pineapple plantation ❤️Last day, we arrived Studio late, but texted Graca that we were going to leave early to airport and we wanted to say goodbye 👋 She said she was awake, and knocked on door in pajamas a minute later. we talked for 1 hour. Saudades❤️

As most other accommodations in Azores the apartment has limited heating (only one small electric heater), so if you're there during winter it may get a little chilly.

Spotless clean (and cleaned daily), cozy, helpful hosts. Free parking next to the apartment. We were picked up from the airport for free!

It was amazing stay and so kind hosts! They recomended to us many places to visit and tips for good restaurants and typical food. Apartment was wonderful, super clean, well equipped so we felt like at home. We spent there 4 nights but definitely know that one day we would like to come back! I loved my stay with Graça and Paulo! I don't think I've ever stayed with a more friendly and sweet host couple. They made every effort to make me feel safe, comfortable and happy during my stay. I got so many great recommendations about the island and what to see from Paulo - I managed to see and do almost everything! And Graça cleaned my apartment spotlessly every day, even did my washing a couple of times. I cannot recommend highly enough this place. If you want to stay somewhere where you are warmly welcomed but also given as much privacy as you need - this is the place for you!! The location was perfect for seeing the island with a rental car (parking inside the gate on the property). Thank you Paulo and Graça!

It was very easy to find the place, the hosts allowed us to check-in earlier than it was planned They made a map for us to show what we need to see in 4 days with all delicious food, scenery views etc. The room was cleaned every day And they even showed us their pineapple plantations!

One has to be careful not to leave around expensive functional wear with membranes that get damaged by regular laundry detergents, e. g. rain pants, as they might get washed, too.

There was nothing we did not like

We absolutely loved everything! Mr. Paulo gave us a very detailed overview of the island and a few tips on places to visit and restaurants to eat in. On the last day he showed us his pineapple plantation. Saved us a trip to an 'official' plantation. Mrs. Graça was very helpful in everything about the stay. She did laundry for us and cleaned the room every day. There is parking in the yard, the gate is locked. We definitely want to return!

The owners were extremely generous and thoughtful with their time and conversation. Paolo helped us with problems with our rental car ans gave an outstanding introduction to the island by labeling a map for us. Graca was meticulous in her care and attention. We got the studio room, and there’s another unit with 2 rooms with their own private baths and kitchen. The property is close to several lovely beaches.

The hosts are very friendly and kind. They are authentic people that makes you feel loved and at home. Paolo also was our cicerone guiding us through his pineapple cultivation. The house is very clean and it is located in a silent street within few minutes from the main highway. We highly recommend this place.
