Hotel is built up a hillside and has various levels which can become confusing. The list of rules and regulations was excessive, and we didn't appreciate the 20€ deposit for each beach/pool towel another for barrel for safe, but obviously they've had some poorly behaved clients. The hike down to the beach was not for the unfit or disabled.

Free Parking. The sea view from the balcony. Hotel was away from the main shopping, eating area so it was quieter at night. Plenty of eateries and junk tourist shops - mostly knock-offs.

The location - no fault of the hotels and I understood it wasn’t located in the old town , but all the hills made me dread the walk back to hotel everyday All the deposits needed , ie for towels , the safe The cost to use jacuzzi and indoor facilities expensive so we didn’t use them as a result WiFi was crap and barely worked No English channels on tv only sky news worked

I've never stayed at a hotel with so many rules spelled out...the pool, the common areas, the towels, the hallways... It makes me wonder what kind of guests they're used to.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout (front desk, restaurant, cleaning team). Everything was neat and clean and comfortable.

A bit of a maze and multiple lifts to get to the room,

We stayed here for one night as our flight changed and our other hotel was booked up. It served its purpose. Probably better options around if staying for a week or so. Although, if you're looking for something cheap and cheerful to get the head down you'll be sorted.

I didn’t like that tea and coffee facilities were not available in the room and that you had to hire a kettle. Nor the fact that there was a cost to use the advertised gym. The main thing though was that the Wi-Fi was hit and miss, kept dropping and was slow.

The hotel team were very friendly and helpful across the board. It was great that beach towels were available for no cost. The pool area and pool we’re very well maintained.

Beautiful pool area and staff are so friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Air conditioning broke in our room and staff were so helpful and attentive. We were moved to another room with beautiful sea view.

Wi-Fi was not good in the room, it did work by the pool restaurant, pool or reception. The food in the pool restaurant for lunch and breakfast wasn’t great. The hill to to get to the old town is quite steep but no fault of the hotel

The wifi isn’t the best

The view was amazing, sea views and sunrise every morning. The pool was lovely. It’s not heated but in July that’s definitely a benefit. The reception lady was fantastic, super friendly!

The reviews complaining about having to pay for everything are a little over-the-top. I wouldn’t expect spa treatments to be included in the price unless you were paying crazy spa hotel prices (which you’re not). The two outdoor pools are brilliant so no need to use the indoor pool. Everything else you have to pay for is fairly reasonable. You get the €20 deposit back at the end of your stay for the beach towel. To be fair we don’t drink coffee so didn’t need a kettle. And we skipped the breakfast and bought ourselves pastries from a local supermarket, and just had a bigger lunch out. The only issue was the hotel being at the top of a hill, which most reviews mention, but we saw it as good exercise (and sobering up) at the end of an evening! I guess this is the price you pay for being away from the loud hustle & bustle of the old town square.

As soon as we arrived the lady at the front desk was super lovely and helpful, explaining everything we needed to know about our stay. Booking.com didn’t take any money for our stay prior to arrival, so we had to pay for the whole stay by card when we arrived, so bear this in mind when making sure you have enough money on your Monzo/in cash. Everything was spotlessly clean, if maybe a little dated. Hairdryer, air con, wifi and TV in room. Two bars of soap and two bottles of shampoo/shower gel in bathroom, which housekeeping topped up again half way through our stay. We didn’t find the bed overly hard compared to other reviews, we actually had lovely nights sleeps, the pillows too soft for my liking but I just doubled them up. We stayed in room 97 which had a lovely ground floor balcony, with table and chairs and sun lounger. Walls/ceilings are a little thin so we could hear next door chatting one evening, but I just popped some ear buds in. We were most impressed with the pool area - one large saltwater pool and one smaller, good quality sun loungers, always plenty to choose from with some in optional shade, quiet & relaxing, the pool bar and the food was also great value for money. Staff amazing. Overall, we loved our stay and would recommend to anyone! Local restaurants we’d recommend - Staar, Casa da Fonte, Bistro, Os Arcos, Jaipur, Georgina, Cafe In-certo. Sal Rosa is a lovely cocktail bar nearby.

Paid for seaview which we most certainly got. However, we were placed in an annex off the main building which happened to unfortunately be next to a local who had two lovely barky dogs, every morning! Would visit again but request a different room.
