Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe towels are very old and used, they’d really need changing. Breakfast is very good but dishes are really small and you are only allowed one, if you ask for more you need to pay for it. Room feels a bit outdated. Overall, considering the cost, I think there is considerable room for improvement to make it good value for money!
The property is located in the centre yet in a side street so it’s not loud. We got a lovely welcome and check in was easy. The room is cute and not pretentious, it has everything you need, including a fridge to keep water cool. Beautiful roof terrace that isn’t used very much so feels very private. Overall it was a pleasant stay!

United KingdomSlight noise of construction in the area during the day but nothing that the hotel could have done about it, and it was easy enough to ignore.
The staff were all so friendly and helpful, very knowledgeable about the area and were able to book us on tours. The pools were great, beds super comfortable, the rooms kept very clean and the breakfasts included were delicious and varied. The location felt perfect for us as it was a very short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants but we were glad it's set back from the hustle a bit as it was very quiet at night. Would rate 10/10 and highly recommend to anyone.

New ZealandThere wasn’t much not to like. We had a minor issue with the toilet not flushing properly but the staff fixed it fast.
The staff made us feel at home straight away. Inclusive breakfast was great and the room wasn’t too small. We loved the location and would happily come stay again.

SwitzerlandNoisy during the day, due to the road and next door construction. The bed light switch was only on one side of the bed, and the bulps were downwards directly over the pillows.
Good location, close to the beach and downtown. Big room, quite during the night Nice breakfast Good tourist infos

NetherlandsThe saragassum on the nearby beaches was really very bad and smelly this time of year. We couldn't enjoy the beach at all.
Very friendly staff. Very clean, spacious and quiet rooms. Beautiful common areas and lovely rooftops. The breakfast was also great.

MexicoFirst floor room doors are not sound proof, therefore you can easily hear people talking/passing by to their room at whatever time they come in. There were mosquitoes inside the room most of the time, I suspect the washroom window needs a mosquito net. The sink in the room suddenly made noises and we had to go and try to open/close it for it to stop, also it had a small leak so even closing it kept a constant drip of water
Well decorated and clean

United Kingdom- there is quite a lot of construction going on around the hotel, but this is happening all over the island. it really didn't bother us too much and it didn't go on through the night. we did get woken up a couple of times around 7am to some loud construction noise which was unfortunate. - while the shell shower was good, the doors to the walk in shower were not sufficient to keep the water out. The shower is really powerful and was constantly flooding the bathroom which made it a little dangerous. - we really liked the pool area, very jungle-esque. However it is quite small and there is not much space, the sunbeds are kind of squeezed wherever they can go. if the area was busy it really felt like you were on top of each other and quite uncomfortable. There are 2 pools and the rooftops though so quite a minor complaint. - we experienced several powercuts during our stay. of course this is not the fault of the hotel and i believe is common for Holbox, but sometimes they lasted quite a long time and without air con during the night could become unbearable. - we were lucky to have a room in the newer part of the hotel on the first floor which was quite private. Some rooms we saw had little to no privacy on the ground floor, with people always walking past. There is an older part of the hotel as well which looks out over the road which we really wouldn't have liked. Pay a bit extra for a better room if you can! - There was no storage areas or shelves to put our stuff which wasn't ideal when staying there for a week. The above were honestly minor inconveniences to us and we really enjoyed our stay!
We stayed at Para Ti for a week and overall really enjoyed our stay. A lovely Oasis on the island. - the staff are all very friendly and helpful and were always on hand for our questions and helped us with our transfer to Cancun airport - breakfast was nice, the best coffee we had on our trip to Mexico! Fruit and pancakes every morning. we didn't eat at the hotel during the day at all but the food looked great. - the room was spacious and clean with comfy beds. nice to have a little balcony looking over the pool as well. the shell shower was very interesting but was powerful! - the location is great, very close to the town and the beach but far enough away to be nice and quiet in the evening - the pool area was nice when it wasn't too busy! plenty of space on the 2 rooftops to chill out as well

IrelandPeaceful bliss. It’s close to town but far enough from all the noise. So beautiful during the day with the rooftop beds and pool beds by the bar we spent a whole day relaxing there. We missed our bus to the ferry on the day of our arrival and they modified our booking to accommodate us, we liked it so much we stay an extra night. We stayed in Serenidad and Romance.

FranceThere is an part of the hotel that is a bit older and less comfortable but the place stays very cute. We also had a lot of noise from works in the morning in our second room in the old part.
It’s a hidden paradise, away from the crowd but still close to the center. We loved the atmosphere that is very peaceful, the beautiful pool and various levels of rooftops. The staff was also lovely, we will be back!

Where to start? The staff at Hotel Para Ti are wonderfully friendly and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and spotless with fantastic air conditioning. The hotel itself is like a massive treehouse and even has a resident cat, what more do you want? The breakfast is cooked to order and every dish is delicious and expertly cooked. The WiFi is super fast and stable which is rare on such an island. We stayed for 10 nights and were so sad to leave. Loved this hotel and would stay again, no doubt about it! Thanks to Sandra and her whole team for their outstanding service. Please give Lechuga a kiss for me 🐱🐈

United StatesThe one pool surrounded by vegetation had more debris in the pool than I was comfortable with.
It was the perfect property aesthetic for an island. Kind of like Robinson Crusoe meets Fantasy Island. The room was very large as was the bathroom. The bathroom faucets were uniquely devised from conch shells. There was a comfortable king size bed, hammock, living room, reading nook, and a patio in the trees (as my room was on the second level). There was bottled water available at the reception area, both hot and cold. Breakfast is included and consisted of fresh squeezed juice, coffee/tea, and a hot entree. And there are two pools. It felt like a posh treehouse.

CanadaThe room was very small. It's a vertical hotel - lots of open staircases.
Nice hotel, excellent friendly, helpful staff. Very clean and functional. Nice pools, good breakfast. Quiet (in an increasingly noisy island). We've been coming to Holbox for 16 years and have experienced its decline from 'undiscovered paradise' to a noisy, crowded, over-developed, messy disappointment - Para Ti, however, is a welcome oasis, one of a few that remain.

United StatesThe pool was cold! I would maybe cut some trees back, so that it could get direct sun light or add a heater component.
I absolutely loved everything about the property! Starting with the staff, they made getting to the island a phenomenal experience. After getting off the plane, my driver was there and immediately drove me to the ferry terminal. At the terminal, the men immediately grabbed my bags and loaded them on the ferry and provided my ticket. Once on the island, my taxi was there to greet me and drive me to the hotel! Once at the property, the staff were phenomenal and the property was gorgeous! If you’re a social media influencer of some sort, the property is definitely photographable. The complimentary breakfast was great and the location of the facility was even better (2 blocks from the beach). When it was time for me to depart, I had the same amazing experience getting back to Cancun. I would stay here again any day!

United StatesThe only comment we have as older travelers is that there was a lack of comfortable chairs and table for sitting outside and relaxing. The pool had several loungers but the majority of the chairs are wooden logs - very pretty, but not very comfortable! There were a few tables and nice chairs in the bar area and also an indoor lounge area with a couch which we did not use. The only other drawback was that the property is on multiple levels which was difficult for our friend with knee issues.
Lovely, beautifully decorated property in a great location close to many restaurants and the beach, although not directly on the beach. Small pool in the center right next to small breakfast bar. The staff was wonderful and the included breakfast each day was amazing. Lovely outdoor beds on two upper decks.
