There was construction on the rooftop during our stay in March. We tried using the rooftop pool one evening, but it was filled with lots of bug and it didn't look like there was a filter turned on that evening. So, we just dipped our feet in the pool for a little bit, but didn't dare to swim in.

The staff was great. The location was great for our itinerary. Close to the metro as well as lots of restaurant and street food options. The beds were absolutely comfortable. After long, busy, hot days, climbing to the beds were the cherry topping to the ends of our days. The room was spacious for 2 adults and 1 young boy. The big gym was a bonus.

No roof top bar, neither swimming pool on service!! The whole penthouse area was "apparently" under repair with no signals or information at all of this situation, so when we were about to take a splash the personnel told us we were not allowed to use it even though the pool was full and there were no signs not to use it. If I were informed of this situation I would have preferred to book in another hotel since for me and my wife a roof top pool was a very desirable perk. Too bad it was misleading advertising on this property. I won´t stay again in this hotel on my next visit to Mexico City, having many other options. Even front desk clerks were not helpfull and a bit rude once I asked about this.

The location is perfect, very close to main city spots and steps away to restaurants and commercial places. We got a 9th floor room with a spectacular city view. The cleanliness of room was great, except for a few small stains on room carpet. Soft matress and pillows, bed linnens perfectly clean. Bathroom and shower worked fine.

Room was hot when we first checked in and took 4 hrs to cool down, could have kept the AC running froom before. Preferable to provide water bottles daily. Bathroom has terrible design, everyone someone showers- the whole floor gets wet dut to short shower curtains. The closet doors need to be fixed. No refrigerator in room though you get access to ice to keep the water bottles cool.

Great location, easy check-in check out. Room was clean, beds comfortable. Adequate breakfast buffet at 220 MXN/ adults and 110/ child. Excellent terrace view of ther city.

Nobody told us the rooftop pool is under construction. That was a big reason I chose this hotel. Instructions for valet parking need to be cleared.

The room was ok, but perhaps not the best option if you intend to stay longer. It was a small room with old equipment. The breakfast was not that great. After the first day, I started going out for breakfast.

Could've been cleaner and like others have mentioned, the rooms need an update. Rooms were old and you can notice it. Breakfast wasn't good and it was a bit expensive.

The hotel feels a bit dated, as if it was very fancy in the 1990s, but hasn't been greatly maintained since then. The cleanliness could also be a little bit better. This is noticeable in the rooms and e.g. in the pool.

Hotel Royal is perfectly located, with great city views and nice, large rooms. The staff is very helpful, and with the sauna, pool and fitness, there are plenty facilities. Fum bonus; they have ice and coolers available at every level, if you would like to cool something (like a bottle).

The Wi-fi is a bit of a problem - there were many networks and it was confusing to know what to use at what time - though this is not a problem that is exclusive to this hotel. We had this problem all over Mexico.

The hotel is comfortable and in a safe and rather fun part of town. Reception team are overall very helpful and friendly. There were big panoramic lifts. The beds were comfortable. Id sure come back to this hotel

Rooms would benefit from addition of fridges and tea/coffee making facilities. Would benefit from a bit of refurbishment generally but for the price it's good. Gym could do with some exercise mats.

Good location, decent rooms although a little tired. Great roof terrace. Generally comfortable place to stay for a few days. Staff are helpful and generally multilingual. Ask for a high up room and the views are excellent. View from the gym is great.
