Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesDark carpet, uneven hallways. Location was ok, but prefer other areas of Mexico City.
Hotel rooms were well kept. Clean and comfortable. Beds could be bigger, but room too small for king size beds. Bathroom excellent, shower superb, great water pressure. Hotel staff were superb, always helpful. Spoke English and communicated well.

MexicoI booked a basic room and it was very nice but without a view. Next time I hope to book a junior suite and have even more fun. The roof top is excellent and the breakfast (included) was good. The service was excellent. I did not have dinner but my three friends did and they loved it. The location is great to experience the city including access to some of the best restaurants (other than the rooftop).

United StatesThe only disappointment was the chef's choice to conceal the nature of the items on the tasting menu -- that disrespects people with dietary restrictions!
Excellent in every respect! The restaurant was fantastic.

AustraliaThe shower. It was terrible; it hit the wall and was not adjustable to twist it to fall on the person standing rather than the wall. Also, the shower screen leaks water drenching the floor every time someone has a shower.
The design, layout, rooftop, furniture and atmosphere.

United StatesA definite plus for me was its location right across from the cathedral and the main square. I got the chance to pray at the cathedral every day of our stay and buy souvenir gifts from its gift shop. One early morning, my husband and I decided to spend some time in the main square just appreciating & enjoying its wide open space before the influx of masses of people later in the day. The hotel is also just a few minutes ride from Roma, Condesa, Polanco and the Guadalupe Basilica. The staff was friendly and special shoutout to Fernanda in the Front Desk for being very helpful and welcoming.

United KingdomWe thought the bathroom area slightly small
This is a great hotel located right near the central square and cathedral (the Zocalo) We had a superior room which had excellent shower etc. Breakfasts were notably superb, with fantastic views over the Zocalo. It was a great opportunity to sample Mexican food. The reception staff were so helpful and went far above what I would not normally expect. Fernando Lazarno was particularly helpful. Overall would thoroughly recommend the hotel

United StatesOur room was a little small and the bed sloped to the edges, so you felt you could roll off in your sleep.
The location is excellent — most of the sights near Centro Histórico are within walking distance. The hotel is lovely and has a great rooftop overlooking the Zocalo. The breakfast served there was amazing and the service wonderful. They also offer a free cafe for coffee, snacks, etc.

AustraliaThe staff member in the cafe was borderline rude, condescending with her attitude to serve us. Unfortunately she was working the 3 days of our stay. Little things like good customer service is worth a million…
We loved the close proximity to the major sights in the Historical area of Mexico City. The choices for breakfast were healthy and delicious Eg. Fresh juices, vegetarian omelettes. The views were beautiful over the zocalo and cathedral. The cafe where you could choose anything from the menu and included in your room rate was a lovely surprise.

CanadaStaff at the front desk and helping with luggage are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to welcome you. We had breakfast included which you have in the 6th Zocalo balcony restaurant with its spectacular view of the Zocalo. The Cafe Central on the ground floor provides free snacks and beverages all day in addition to the fridge of free water and apples on each floor. Our room on the 5th floor was quiet, very clean and lovely. The camerista was very friendly and left candy on the pillow each day which is a nice touch. I can't compare with the other comparable hotels around the Zocalo in terms of pricing and service but we really liked this hotel.
