The area around one of the pools smelled a bit of sewage (not the pool itself), and breakfast was honestly a disappointment; fit for a 1 star hotel rather than a place like this. Other than that, we really enjoyed out stay. PS: It's a bit secluded from the city centre, 25 min walk or a $200MX taxi ride, so keep in mind in case you plan to go to the centre often.

Very nicely designed, the room was quiet and comfortable, it has two swimming pools, and we definitely recommend the restaurant at the hotel.

The included breakfast was not very filling. The restaurant is rather expensive.

Very calm atmosphere and the whole hotel is simply stunning. There are many details to be discovered. The beds, towels and robes were incredibly comfortable. Everything is very clean and we felt at home. The hotel is close to Punta Coco which is a beautiful beach with a lagune where the bioluminescence can be seen under the right circumstances.

I would just add a bit more variety for breakfast, and provide a pool towel to better enjoy the pools. We also found a bit strange that were not cutlery, mugs, glasses, nor kitchen tools provided as we had the room with the kitchen. Maybe something to provide in these rooms

Getting there and getting around is a bit of adventure since there is no paved roads on the island. Recommend renting a bike or buggy (the staff can arrange that).

The distance from town and from Punta Mosquito could be a disadvantage.

Everything was wonderful! We really enjoyed the large, clean room with very a comfortable bed, the pools, breakfast and rooftop bar/restaurant. We also took advantage of the massage facilities which was a great experience. The hotel is located on the less touristy part of the island which we preferred, even if it's further away from the town. The beach is wilder and only a 5 min walk away from the hotel. The staff was very helpful and always available for any questions of recommendations.

We were completely fine with the location, but we were there during the dry season. Even in the dry season there were some large puddles that were difficult to get around. If you are going during the wet season, getting around the area is probably very challenging.

We loved our time at Casa HX! The staff was so kind and helpful. The facilities were excellent; we really enjoyed the pools, the free breakfast, the game room, the hammocks, the rooftop bar, the bicycles, etc. We didn't make use of the spa, but it was nice that it was there. There was plenty of free purified water, which was a ice bonus. The location isn't super close to downtown, but it was walkable when the weather wasn't too hot and it was easy to get taxis (it cost about $12 per trip). It was also close walking distance to beaches such as Punta Cocos, which has bio-luminescence and beach clubs, and Puerta Azul Beach Bar.

Loved everything! But a heads up, it’s a 25 minute walk into town and if you aren’t up for the beach walk or street walk it is roughly $20AUD for a taxi one way.

We loved loved loved our stay here! Right from the start the staff were so friendly and accomodating and really took care of us. The place is beautiful and so relaxing! We splashed out and got the room with the private plunge pool and it was definitely a lovely well worth it treat! The included breakfast was light and yummy! Juice was amazing and coffee was great too. The cocktails there are also very nice too. The staff and more than happy to book taxis for you which is great especially if it has rained and there are many deep puddles. We ordered two early more tacos for yours and our ferry out and they both came promptly. I have nothing bad to say about our stay! It was perfect!

Not much, everything was quite lovely

Although others have said they were disappointed that the hotel is far away from the town center, but we very much enjoyed the quiet, proximity to the beach and being in a area of town that wasn’t busy. The food was good, the property clean, stylish and very comfortable and the staff were all amazing, especially Annie & Matias.

It was 30min walk approximately from the main beach / Holbox center, but we could walk along the beach so it was nice. We used the pull-up couch in the living room as a second bed but the mattress wasn't confortable.

Beautiful hotel, it was recommended by a friend and we loved it! 2 beautiful pool area with sunbeds, rooftop bar to watch sunset, restaurant and nice breakfast. The staff was nice and helpful. We had a suite with kitchen/living room so it was very convenient to cook our own food! And the bedroom was nice as well. We loved spending time by the blue pool and enjoy the nice weather :)

The location to the end beach was great. A little further out from the main zone but happy to take a quick drive or walk in. We got an upgrade and the room was great, spacious, quiet and right by the pool.

Breakfast was included in the price but only provided some fruit and pastry, hot breakfast was an extra charge. While a great property, it is a long way from the happening city life and you're forced to take taxis which is quite expensive.

We missed a couple of things in our bedroom (brush to clean the toilet, hairdryer, shower soap). We were forgotten twice with our food (one breakfast and dinner). That was unpleasant for the price and we had no gesture to compensate that. (I expect this with a 3/4 stars hotel). The location is nice but with the storm earlier in February it wasn’t very accessible

The location was a bit far from central which we could see before booking so not something I can fault the hotel on. In holbox when it rains the roads become very flooded and it’s difficult to get around/walk anywhere without wading through deep puddles. I don’t blame the hotel for this at all however when we were walking around we did notice some other hotels had put out rocks/sandbags so people could pass through without going into the puddles - this would have been nice for casa hx to do also as there were some huge ones near the entrance and lots of mosquitoes around the edges! Recommend getting a golf buggy taxi or walking via the beach to try and avoid this as much as possible.

Gorgeous rooms - clean, spacious, big bed! Nice touches to the room. I also think they did a good job with keeping out mosquitos as the area around the hotel was really bad for them. What very few reviews recognise is the location of property and how far this is from the centre. We arrived on the 19th of January snd the island was completely flooded. The hotel didn’t offer any shuttle to and from the town so each evening we’d have to wade through swamp like dirty water to reach a shop or restaurant or pay up to £17 one way via golf buggy taxi’s. Considering this isn’t even rainy season we were surprised to see the extent of the flooding and how little the hotel did to alleviate the problem.

Lovely interiors and rooms were large with balcony. Staff were overall friendly and breakfast included was great value for money and delicious.
