would have liked to have a small refrigerator in the room, a broom for the sand we brought in from the unpaved roads, and better internet, but again, this place was great value for the price and I would definitely stay again as a budget traveler.

We were lucky to find this place AFTER having arrived to the island. The location was absolutely perfect, and the unit we had (#3) was quiet at all times of the night and day despite being in the center of town across the street from the central park. The entrance is a long hallway between two businesses so you’ll have to pay attention to see their sign, or just ask someone working around the area where the entrance is. This is not a hotel with a lobby and receptionist to attend to your every need, so I suggest picking up a phone card prior to your arrival (maybe at the airport or whatever town you are coming from), so that you can write to the manager when you get there. They literally answered me in less than 1 minute (on WhatsApp) and we were in our room 2 minutes later using a key from a lockbox. The room/bathroom is exactly as advertised and the AC was adequate for the room size so the temp stayed perfect. Great find for the price.

Hotel can be very difficult to find, especially if you arrive during a tropical storm. For quite some time, I couldn't get in contact with the hotel for directions.

However, being very central the property is extremely noisy. You can hear all of the music playing outside and there is a dog which was constantly barking right under our bedroom. They only gave us 1 towel each for the three nights we were staying there and when we asked for more they only gave us a small hand towel as no others were available.

The property is very easy to get to from the port. It is only a 10 minute walk so you do not need to get a taxi. It is very central with alot of restaurants close by and other amenities. It is also close to the Holbox beach. The owner of the property was very helpful and polite. The bed is very comfortable and hot water was always available.

Great spot! We weren’t bothered by noise at all (slight concern after reading other comments), and the bed was very comfortable. We only stayed two nights but wished we had stayed longer!

There is a restaurant below that turned into a DJ club one night. The room shook until 215am. No sleep and a headache for the next day. Not the hotels fault at all....but I would have liked to know that.

Only one thing I didn’t like was that the Wifi didn’t work at all in the room, only outside. Also hot water in the shower didn’t work, but for me it’s not a big deal as I usually take cold showers when it’s hot.

The location was very good, you have everything around you and the beach is a short walk away. Place was clean and had all I needed for a comfortable stay. Bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean.

As I said above, the first room we got was a catastrophe. It needs some serious renovation or otherwise don’t put people in there. The kitchen was okay but for example didn’t even have a pot and no knives. It still worked for us but would be nicer to have more utensils.

First things first: there are huge differences in the rooms. At first, we got one room that smelled so much like mold I couldn’t even breath. You could literally see the mold in every corner and the view out of the room was straight onto a construction. We immediately called the owner and he offered us another room which was on the highest floor. Honestly, I have nothing against this second room to say. It had a very nice bathroom, AC, and right outside was the kitchen. There’s also daily cleaning service which was nice. The owner was quite nice, always reachable on WhatsApp and sent us a lot of recommendations in the beginning.

Holbox is generally pretty expensive, but it's good value for the island. The key was a bit fiddly until I realised that the notch always has to go upwards.

Good location, in centre - on roof. Not a lot of noise bleed from the bars. Liked the size of room, sofa, lots of soap stuff in bathroom. Good towels. Staff communicated well. No mosquito (a triumph for holbox in June). Lighting good. Wardrobe good. Kitchen good. Well designed

Fantastic location for access to everything the island has to offer. Central and walkable to cafes, beaches, bike rentals, etc.. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Bed was great. Mariana and Leo were both helpful and polite. Offered to store my bag pre-check in and post-check out to allow maximum enjoyment of days on the island.

Water pressure is very low, but I think they have no control over it.

Very central location. Huge terrace with fully equipped kitchen. Rooms are small but very nicely designed. Cable TV, double bed and sofa-bed. Large shower. I saw racoon and iguana on the balcony :) Staff is very chill and friendly. Windows are soundproof, noise from the street doesn't bother you at night.

Its not perfect- theres a lot of noise from birds and parties (wasn’t a problem for us but maybe yes for others) and there was issues with the water at first but it was resolved quickly. Its also pretty difficult to find and there is no reception desk. Theres just a small button at a table sometimes available to talk to staff. The number on booking is another way to reach them. Last thing: get an eye cover if you’d like to sleep passed 7am (;

The location is perfect, its beautiful for the price, very private, and njce staff. We originally booked 5 days at the hotel but loved it so much that we rebooked multiple times and ended up staying for 2 weeks. Great AC, beautiful terrace, wifi is best in the middle room 😉, and the housekeeper Mariana is very sweet but Im not sure if she speaks English. It became home for us.
