We could have used a couple of more umbrellas on the sun loungers as the sun is so so strong.. it meant you would have to get up early to be down to get a lounger with shade.

The hotel was beautiful, sensational views and you step right out onto the beach front. The other hotels on Playa Holbox are set back from the beach but AWA is right on the beach front which is amazing. The hotel rooms were really spacious and beautiful interiors, rustic and modern. The staff were so friendly and helpful, lovely breakfast, lunch/dinner and even better cocktails! Great music and vibe for when hanging out there during the day.

One of the best hotels we have stayed at. The staff are exceptionally service-minded and welcoming. The beach is beautiful, and the pool area and rooftop are nice. The restaurant is excellent, offering delicious Mexican food with a twist.

One friendly suggestion - the rooms should come with a mini-bar or small fridge!

I recently stayed at AWA Hotel in Holbox, Mexico, and it was an unforgettable experience. Sacha and Melissa, the two waiters at the beach bar, were incredibly friendly and attentive, providing sensational service. The manager, Hugo, was also fantastic and ensured every aspect of our stay was perfect. The beach suites are stunning, offering breathtaking sea views. The hotel's design blends laid-back beach vibes with modern sophistication, creating a stylish and comfortable environment. The sunsets from the rooftop bar were a real highlight, offering spectacular views. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute walk to the centre of Holbox, close to restaurants and nightlife but still peaceful and relaxing. Holbox is a magical island, and AWA Hotel made our stay even more special. Highly recommend!

Not enough sun-beds. You literally have to wake up at the dawn of the day to go place your belongings at the bed. But it’s a small hotel so maybe I understand. Also, no hand towels close to the sinks.

LOTS of Mosquitos in the room lol, I guess it's inevitable, but I am glad they had mosquito repellent at the reception and the big fan in the room. It definitely helped.

Everything! I am used to travel over the world and here, you really live an experience. The staff is at your disposal all the time. The beach club is amazing in terms of decoration but not only! The cocktails are perfectly served and well balanced. The food is delicious. The rooms are well decorated in bohemian-chic style. I had the duplex number 25…. Looks even better than the pictures. Don’t miss the rooftop with the pool sea view, little tip-) It was only the 2 of us. If you are searching for the best hotel by far in Holbox, don’t look for it anymore, you already found it.

You should come here if you are looking for a perfect time. We traveled through Mexico for some weeks and the stay at AWA Holbox was definitely the highlight of it all. The whole place has its own energy and a perfect vibe. The hotel is beautifully arranged with cool rooms, pool area and direct access to the beach. They also have a super nice beach club with live music on the weekend and nice food. Everyone there was so friendly. Especially Ernesto from reception took great care and has cool tours to offer. The location of the hotel on the island is perfect as you are away from the busy center but can walk there in 10 minutes. It’s the first hotel I have ever been to that I would even do a second time. Love this place!

They clearly are still new as the staff was still hanging lights and decor. And it was sometimes difficult to get the bar staff’s attention, they seemed to prioritize larger parties.

The rooms were clean, well maintained, and beautifully designed. Being able to step out of my room and into the pool was incredible! Both restaurants onsite were delicious and easy to access. The concierge staff was friendly and always available to help. Jenny was a local and provided me a lot of great tips of where to go on the island as a solo, female travel.

Beautiful property in a great location. Staff was very friendly, and the food was incredible. It's located on a gorgeous stretch of beach close enough to walk to town but far away enough to be quiet and relaxing. The walk to town is about 15 minutes down the beach, although taxis are also available. There are highly rated restaurants and a small convenience store within walking distance. The bathtub on the balcony was a luxurious touch.

I would just suggest to add body lotion to the amenities in the room. Maybe more vegetarian and fluent free options in the restaurant.

Apart from the waiters at the restaurant, the staff was not very friendly nor accommodating. The hotel had been recently flooded, and they showed zero flexibility to the guests in the hotel when it comes to compensating for messy facilities. I would still go back regardless as the hotel is really clean and enjoyable to stay in.

It is really exceptional, it has a unique and warm touch, the staff always treats me friendly and very considerate. They recommended us to bring cash because on the island this is handled more, it was really a great detail, since, avoiding looking for ATMs, since, apparently, these are very scarce

Lack of sunbeds compare to the amount of rooms. So every dat was a funny struggle with getting up in de morning and drop sun towels on a sun bed ;-) But the hotel is brand new so they are still working on the last details, like umbrella's and stuff. Still this such a nice hotel. Ohw and a little more options on the food menu free from gluten e.d. would be nice.

Beautiful peaceful hotel with such a nice and light room with ocean view (we asked for). Big nice bed and shower. Private and beautiful 'beach' with camp fires in the evening and very good cocktails, music but still calm in the evening.

It’s about a 20 minute walk along the beach to the more central area, but it’s a beautiful walk. The hotel is actually in a great place if you want to walk left to have a quiet morning walk away from the busier central direction.

Absolutely beautiful property. Some parts are still under construction to build it out but that wasn’t a problem at all. The rooms are glorious and when we had a fault with our shower, they gave us a sea view room at the front instead without costs. Lovely people, and a really glorious stay.
