Room looks old fashion. TV only has japanesse chanels and can't mirror your phone. WIFI is terrible

Location is great. Kyoto station is nearby and there is Kujo station and buses literally close by the hotel. Breakfast is superb! and there're free beverages for guest

Wifi was slow.

Location was good, rooms clean. Liked the evening welcome drinks and music which was live and enjoyable. Rooms spacious. Train station right outside. Breakfast was nice! Lots of options and good quality.

The beds were fine, not great, but not the worst. The rooms could be a little cleaner.

The breakfast had a good variety of items. The laundry was free to use.

Great spa with sauna that was open late. Helpful staff members during check-in. There are free drinks at the bar. Very close to subway station. We could leave our luggage before check-in.

The cloths dryer was a little under performing, especially for a hotel full of guests.

Not enough power points in room. Mostly at the TV area, very congested at that small area.

Public bath in hotel was good. Location convenient. A free drink every night alcoholic/non alcoholic. Also train station at doorstep though one could easily walk from main kyoto station.

Wifi was patchy and slow in the room. Good in the guest lounge.

Room was small but comfortable and had a balcony. Train station right outside the front door so easy to get around. Great guest lounge area. Complimentary drink from the bar each night. Complimentary tea and coffee from 10am each day. Kettle in the room. Lots of restaurants and 7-11 nearby. Close to Kyoto station.

Breakfast seemed to be sold out when asking the person sitting the people but then at reception I was able to purchase breakfast. Extremely minor issue but was slightly confusing.

As an Irish traveller it was difficult to find a good breakfast in Japan. The breakfast in sakura at 1600 yen was very good and very similar to a breakfast at home if you wanted (sausage, scrambled eggs, bacon etc), it of course had more Japanese style food aswell which was also beautiful. At 1600 yen per person I could not fault it. The room was clean and had sound sleep each night. The public bath was well organised and was refreshing after a full day sightseeing. The complimentary drink each evening was also very appreciated (alcoholic or non). The staff were exceptional for a non Japanese speaker at any time of the day, there always seemed to be at least one staff member at reception with very good English even if the initial contact was not perfect (this is not a negative as it's my ignorance not knowing any Japanese but was highly appreciated). Was very close to kyoto station which would take you anywhere you wanted and was right beside Kujo station (literally seconds from front door) so as a comfortable Base it was perfect.

The room was small with nowhere for clothes storage. Being from HK we're used to tiny spaces and hotel rooms, so not much an issue for us, but may be for others.

Lovely warm room with split A/C and fab compact bathroom. As vegetarians we didn't expect too much from breakfast, but were very pleasantly surprised with the variety and amount of items on offer…..really enjoyed it! Evening free drink was a lovely touch and we liked the cozy vibe of the lounge with many guests wearing samue, post onsen. Free laundry facilities very much appreciated too.
