How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

-To give the room key to the reception everytime I was leaving the room. -Mattress was too strong. -Shared tap/mechanism for water in washing basin and shower.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for Shibuya Station. Very quiet for such a central location. Big room by Tokyo standards! Spotlessly clean!

I like to have coffee or tea in the room. There was nothing provided in the room.
The location near Shibuya station is a great spot for all Tokyo attractions. Easy to get to the station. The room was very clean. The staff was very polite and the complimentary coffee at reception was nice:)

Room is compacted. Bed was a little small for 2 persons.

A little tired.
Very cozy and quaint. A little sanctuary in the middle of the madness of Shibuya. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Great location.

Rooms where dark and a bit small, bathrooms was especially small. Hard to find charging points for electronics.
Great position and very friendly staff. Rooms were very clean but quite small, specially the bathroom (to be expected win Japan though). Had some amenities you could take at the front desk and face us a bottle of water every day

The room is tiny and very dark, the bed is a bit noisy, no sound insulation from the corridor - so the guests walking and talking feels like they are talking to you in your room, and the remote for the bidet takes some figuring out
Location convenience is unbeatable. Everything in the room is in a working condition. The free morning coffee in the lobby is a nice touch

The aircon didn't work at all and the window couldn't open so the room was a bit stuffy. Rooms are very small which seems to be a standard for accommodation in Japan
Very well situated, close to public transport and all the action. Very comfortable bed and bedding. The room had everything I needed and was clean. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast but they do offer free coffee in the morning, they also gave a free bottle of water once day :)

Everything was great
Walkable distance to Shibuya station and many attractions, very friendly and servant team, cleanness is perfect, in general it is a great place to stay that I highly recommend

Room was a little hot and the walls/doors were thin, but it’s an older building. Overall a great experience, would definitely stay there again.
Incredible location. Right close to all the action, but still quiet at night. Very friendly and helpful staff. A real gem.

The following were not problems for me but just good to know: Every time you leave the hotel, you must return your room key to the hotel staff. Upon returning to the hotel, you must show a card with your name and room number in order to get the key back. While I never lost my card, I was informed by the staff that I would not be able to get my room key without the card (again, this was not a problem for us). Furthermore, you cannot bring guests over into your room that are not staying at the hotel with you (again, also not a problem for us).
Sakura Fleur Aoyama is a cute and cozy hotel with a helpful and welcoming staff who provided great service to my friend and I during our short stay in Tokyo. Packets of body soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, razors, and a toothbrush with toothpaste were provided on a daily basis along with new pajamas, new slippers, and refills of tea in the room. It is a short 10 minute walk from Shibuya Sky and many restaurants and tourist activities (e.g. shopping, restaurants). Overall, a good first place to stay in for our short stay in Tokyo/Japan!
