We loved our stay! The hostel is in a beautiful building, and the private Japanese style room was spacious and very comfy. Kana is an amazing host who gave us great activity and restaurant recommendations, even helping us make reservations, and went above and beyond to make our stay in Hokone lovely :) thank you for the wonderful two nights!

Peaceful. Clean. Confortable. Good service. Large luminous room. The receptionist (Kana-san) is very nice and helpful. It was very fun and pleasant. (I liked eating in the common place to chat with the Kana-san or the guests). Well placed : nearby bus and train stations, calm place.

Absolutely amazing stay at this hostel! The host was so sweet and super helpful with recommendations and everything else we needed! The Japanese style room was so comfortable. The beds were like clouds and we slept like babies on the ground. Highly recommend!

The room was very close to the street but apart from an ambulance at 3am there were not alot of cars

Kana was an adorable and helpful host who booked us an onsen and gave us a variety of Japanese treats to try. The beds were the most comfortable of our trip and the bathrooms clean. The hostel was located in a handy position to reach Gora or Lake Ashi.

Soundproofing is not the best given the age of the property but is nothing major.

The hostel is in a good location and is clean and spacious. The downstairs area has a kitchenette and small lounge section. The best part of the stay was our host Kana-san who was so lovely and helpful throughout the whole stay. She provides a map covering different attractions, restaurants and onsens in the area. She also helped us make reservations at a local restaurant. Definitely recommend staying here.

Close to a busy road which does create some noise, but this comes with the great location and the hostel owner provides free earplugs.

Excellently situated, transport links via train or bus. Close to two convenience stores and local restaurants. Wonderful host - great recommendations, will make all your reservations and booking for you in Japanese which just makes everything so easy. I cannot emphasise enough how she made the experience!

Kana, the host is an amazing person who looks after all her guests and went far beyond the call of duty to support me through a couple of small crises with nothing but good humour and persistence. The place is old stye Japanese accommodation but warm and inviting and very comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The beds, while futon , was very comfortable! The wifi works well and there was always plenty of hot water :) I would stay here again in heartbeat. The location was great and provides easy access to short hikes in beautiful surroundings - but also all the tourist attractions. Hakone is a really gorgeous area.

The staff, Kana, is very helpful and initiative. She would suggest places to visit and suggest changes to my planned itinerary (as it was golden week, some places may not be as practical to visit, which makes sense). She recommended nice and interesting restaurants near the places I visited when I shared with her, my itinerary. Thank you, Kana, for making my trip this time a better one.

The host was so friendly and helpful! she printed out a code for us to get the Hakone Free pass at 7/11 and was happy to call restaurants to make reservations for us. She even made a map of the hakone loop and printed them for us so we knew where to go.

Kana was an amazing host, giving me lots of advice, exuding warm hospitality and she even prepared me a small vegetarian meal! It's a lovely little hostel well located near bus and train stops..I took the small private room, and it was perfect for the night and very relaxing:)

Everything! I loved it there. It's the best hostel with the best manager. Kana is an angel and made my time in Hakone unforgettable. We are friends now and I hope to see her again. The hostel is so well kept, clean and beautiful. I felt very comfortable. The dorm beds are extremely comfortable. The kitchen and common area are very nice. The screens around the bed don’t block the sunlight and I don’t think there are curtains. Bring eye masks if you are a light sleeper like me.

The kindest person at reception: Kana. I felt so welcome and taken care of. She really takes good care of all her guests. The double bed is a huge plus as this isn’t common and the feel of the hostel is very homey, but also accommodates for everyone to have enough space.
