Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandI liked my accomodation. It was my first staying in a capsule hotel and it was quite spacious, very clean and quiet. The space wasn't that thin, like you would expect from a those type of place. I felt safe. Also you could leave the luggage on next day and near my space there was a space with locks for big suitcases. I recommend!

AustraliaVery much a business/student hostel. Mostly students I found staying there which is fine but if your looking for the backpacking atmosphere this isn’t it, the common room is dead silent.
Great location being right next to the station. Good common room. Good hostel capsule and amenities.

Family of 4 adults in a quad room. Clean, cozy, quiet…but all of the other three rooms around us were empty. That helped with bathroom too.

RomaniaThe mattress was too thin, but not a big deal. Also, my capsule had some squeaky spots, making it quite loud when moving around
Very clean and spacious capsule, with locker inside of it. There’s just a magnetic piece of fabric that serves as the capsule door, but it was quite empty and quiet so no problems sleeping. Location is very good, just outside himeji JR station at the upper floors of a quite old building. There’s also a coworking space with a conference room available

PortugalMatress was thin, a bit uncomfortable. Having pods above means that you hear a lot of noise from people moving around in their sleep and putting things in their lockers.
Very good supporting facilities. You have free water/coffee / cappuccino. Room for working, taking phone calls, have meetings, microwave, TV. Then pod itself is spacious, with a good sized locker and a TV. They have a "parking area" with chain locker for trolleys. Shower and toilets were also very good. Shower has a small cabin so you can get changed. A few steps from Himeji train and bus station.

JapanCapsules were too warm, needed better ventilation. (There was a fan, which I used even though it was a little noisy, but it didn’t do much.) Would also be nice to have some signs indicating to be quiet in the capsule area because a few guests definitely didn’t know that…
Modern and clean capsules right next to Himeji station. The hotel is on the upper floors of the building with an unassuming entrance, but has a very large lounge area (with free tea, coffee, cocoa etc) on the floor below the rooms. The building looks old but the inside is clean and new. Lots of showers and toilets so you’re never waiting, and the rooms themselves are really nice. Small storage lockers for your valuables are inside the capsule, alongside a tv and some shelves, but if you have a larger bag or backpack then you need to chain it up in the luggage area (no lockers, but plenty of chains and padlocks for your use.)

JapanIt was warm in the capsule itself during the night, even with the fan, which didn't do much. The futon was also a little thin for my liking, but it wasn't too bad.
Easy to find and really close to the station (about a 5min walk at most). Hotel seemed very new or newly renovated. Very clean and spacious with all the amneities you need, including extra space for changing and storing big suitcases.it also has a powder room for getting ready. One of the best capsule hotels that i've stayed at with many capsules available. The space of the capsule is comfortable with a locker big enough to put your valuables and a backpack. There is also a big mirror behind the door of the locker.

AustraliaIt was a bit confusing locating the building, but easy once I worked out it was inside the building and reception was on the 7th floor.
APODS is very conveniently located right in front of the train station. I could leave my luggage and immediately walk over to Himeji castle without a fuss. The appearance of the building is very unassuming, but the hostel is very clean and modern, with great facilities and amenities provided. Very worthwhile accommodation on a budget!

United KingdomGreat location right next to station and near the castle. Room was comfy. As it’s like a hostel though we had a room to ourselves with 4 bunk beds so there was no lock on the door. The walls are also very thin and you can hear other people having conversations and we were woken up in the night by it.

Shower and powder room facilities were nice. Happy they offered some necessary amenities like toothbrush...etc. Best part is the very cozy and well-designed co-working space downstairs. It has several seat and desk/table options and coffee,tea..and some a few other drinks are offered from machine as well.

NetherlandsThe beds are a bit hard and have quite some loose bits of black fluff. Not terrible, but just not perfect.
It was literally around the corner from the station, very convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful. Towels, loungewear, slippers and a toothbrush are included. There is shampoo and soap available too. There is space to lock your suitcase, but it's still accessible if it doesn't have a lock. There's a small locker inside your capsule which fitted my winter jacket and my backpack. There's also a TV and small table inside. The light inside the capsule is adjustable in brightness. Overall really nice!
