How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

From 7 a.m. noise from the common areas of the Guest house - sounds of doors, cups, spoons, plates, etc.
We had a room with a private bathroom. It was clean, in a good location, everything within walking distance. Nice host family

The location was fantastic, very close to the center. Our host Roble was absolutely amazing, helpful and ready to offer excellent suggestions. The property was impeccably clean which was great. Will definitely visit again! Mirenia & Nodas PS: Go Fiorentina!!!

Manager was so helpful and great to find out about local sights and history. It was clean, comfortable and centrally located. Great for a budget solo traveller. Got to meet others that were staying there as well.

The location is good and close to the station. They keep our luggage until time to take the train. Super helpful and a lot of advices about what to visit. Nice bed and clean. Free coffee etc... It was our best stay in our trip in Italy. Thank you

noisy neighbors disturb you if you are a light sleeper
We were greeted by the charming owner Roble. The apartment is located on a quiet street in the very center of the city. The main attractions, shops, restaurants and the central station are no more than 15 minutes on foot. The room has everything you need. The room window offers stunning views of the old city and mountains. The presence of a kitchen allows you to prepare and store food. Thanks to Roble for hin responsiveness and regard.

The steps up to it, but you got used to it and the view was great
The hosts couldn't do enough for us, such lovely people, very comfy bed, use of kitchen facilities, washing machine, gave us a map and information. Location was excellent.

Absolutely nothing
Location is just fantastic. Everything you need to see in Florence is in walking distance. Supermarket close too. The owners Paola and Roble are extremely nice, helpful and they also gave us some recommendations for restaurants and places to visit so we had great time in Florence. Clean place and you feel almost like home.

No elevator. If you are carrying oversized baggage 20++ kg I wouldnt advise staying here.

Really kind host with a comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and awesome location. Just minutes from San Lorenzo and all the other moments were walking distance. Also, five minutes from the train station.

Great location which was a great base to explore Florence from. We received some great tips on where to visit and how to get around, and felt very welcomed to the city. Room was also always clean and tidy when we got back

Great location, between the station and the Duomo with lots of eateries in the vicinity. Staff were very communicative and friendly, especially Roble who accommodated an early arrival and provided wonderful directions around the city.

Beware- don’t book this place if you know you will have big luggage! it is on the top storey with only stairs. We also wish there were fly screens on the windows as when we kept them open at night (because it was stuffy), our room was full of bugs.
The location was absolutely perfect! we also liked how we had a kitchen available to us, and the room was very comfortable and clean. Although it was a shared bathroom and kitchen area, everything was always clean.
