How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A homeowner was cooking some heavy fish dishes which filled the hall with the scent.
Nice place overall. Permanent residents live in the building as well.

Loved the staff! Eros was extremely kind and helpful ..very welcoming and assisting . The room was small and very noisy . You can hear outside noise and the sound of people walking to their rooms .very easy to travel as the station is nearby . The entrance is very small and there is no lift but the staff helped to carry our bags up.

The reception area is rather small and we almost missed the hotel as it doesn't have a big frontage but it's not a big deal. The hotel is on a side road with plenty of eateries nearby. Only 1 English speaking tv channel which was the news.
Brilliant location, within 5 mins walk to the Spanish steps and shops. It was clean, modern, quiet, room the spacious and bed was comfy.. The 2 guys on reception were very friendly and helpful. He booked our taxi and let us store our bags.

everything was ok
location is excellent, close to underground station and to Piazza del Popolo. Rooms are efficiently conceived, silent enough, well equipped. Breakfast is good even if apparently with little choice. Personnel helpful and easily contactable through whattsApp

We stayed there for 5 days and they didn’t change our sheets even once. Also, if you are travelling with elderly, I want to note that there is no elevator

We could hear the toilets flushing in the next room and baby crying very clearly & people talking from adjacent room in our room.
The Host upon arrival was really friendly and so helpful - gave us a map of Rome outlining the main attractions , routes to take, Metro lines, eating locations and restaurants. It was my birthday during our stay and they provided a Courtesy bottle of wine - which was a lovely surprise and a very nice touch. The breakfast was basic but good. It was a lovely quiet area and very easy to walk from to all locations. All personnel at the premises were very friendly and helpful. The servicing of the room was very good - very clean.

Not much we didnt like it was just that there was a constant bad plumping smell to the room but I doubt much can be done for it since it must be the buildings issue.
The location was very good for city centre its a 5 min walk to Piazza del Popolo. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful they gave us advice on where to get the taxi from and recommended some good local restaurants! The bed was also very comfy.

The rooms are small, but quite a value for being in the heart of Rome.
Excellent location near the Piazza de Populi. Wonderful restaurants within easy walking distance. Breakfast was wonderful, well worth the price.

Hairdryer didnt work, no Coffee/Tea, no kettle in the room. Reception was only available until 9pm. We had to share a blanket, I wish they would have noticed that we were traveling not as a couple but as a group of friends and would have provided us two spereate blankets. When we got to our room the reception was closed already and we couldnt ask for another blanket, there were no additional blankets in any of the closets. We only stayed a night, so at some point of the night my friend took the whole blanket I had to cover up with a towel(There were many towels). It was still alright. The sofa bed wasnt very comfortable.
very clean, we didnt have a buffet but we could order from a menu which was perfectly fine! Really kind receptionist and also the employees in the breakfastroom were very kind. Location is PERFECT! close to metro, quiet. everything you could ask for.

There were some extremely noisy people in the residence who had a young child that shouted, screamed and banged on the wall/floor for hours at a time.
The location and cleanliness of the room were extremely good.
