Hotel needs a facelift, it's feeling a bit grungy.

Breakfast was fine, typical hotel buffet. Staff was very friendly. My daughter loves going to the indoor pool when we come here on weekend ski trips.

The fan had to blast loudly beside the bed throughout the night, and while there was user control for heat (it was winter), there was no apparent way to reduce the fan. Also the grouting around behind the bathroom sink (wall side) was looking a little bit grungy/crumbly, detracting from the otherwise quite slick and tasteful room.

Gave us a nice upgrade to a fireplace room.

Restaurant was closed in hotel which meant an extra trip to town for breakfast. Pull out couch blanket was quite musty.

Check in wasn’t until 6pm. I stay in a lot of hotels before and never came across such a late checking before. I asked for a 12pm checkin and hotel didn’t accommodate. Came back with maybe between 4-6pm if room is available. I stayed there mainly for the outdoor hot tub and the water was on the cold side.

No recycling bin in the room. Hair dryer did not work. Reception never answered my 3 calls even though they said they are available if we needed.

The indoor pool and jacuzzi and the outdoor hot pool. The suites are large. Cleaning staff was very kind.

We found our room at 15 degrees the AC was fully on.

The staff wasn't overly friendly. A lot of them didn't know a lot of the hotel facilities, and know how. When booking, we asked not to be I a pet friendly room, as I am allergic to animals. They told me that there were no pets in my room. When checking in, we asked about the pets, and they reassured me that there were no pets. Once in the room, I stated having a reaction. Went back to the front desk, and they said that it was a clean, pet free room. When checking out, I asked about pets being the room, I was then told that the last guest that stayed in the room had a dog. I was very upset by that. I had just spent 2 days with allergies. The best that they did to Reconcile the problem was a 100$ gift card. We had paid over 500$ for stay, and that all they could give us. They wouldn't even credit us for our current stay. Very disappointing.

I really enjoyed the suite. It was big and comfortable. The lake was very nice, and fun. Lots of boats to take out. The outdoor outtube was amazing.

Why does the hotel charge a $200 deposit upfront? It should be preauthorize only, not a charge. Customers have to wait and do not know when the credit will go back to the credit card. Sad, this is a bad practice.

Over the hotel is good. But the staff seems short and busy at front.

Room not up to the standard of a 4 star hotel. Bathtub plugged. Fridge very noisy. Air conditioner difficult to control. Unacceptable to ask for a 200 $ deposit if you already paid. More difficult to forget is that they told me credit card I gave them for refund of deposit was not same, before finally admitting their mistake.

Excellent location. Room facing lake. Silence in room (after disconnecting fridge -see below). Good breakfast.

The mattress (at least in our room) felt like it was ready for replacement. Some of the trim in the room, and on the exterior of the building, was starting to come apart, which suggests some significant maintenance is now due to keep the hotel up to its usual standards, which they may already have planned. When we went, the outdoor hot tub was also having some challenges, and I saw one man, who was sitting on the edge, fall over because one of the slate stones had come apart. This is a great place, but it is ready for some investment.

This is a stunning location near Mont Orford, with green golf courses, lake, and paths. The village of Cherry River (Orford) is also great, with micro-breweries and great little cafes and restaurants. The hotel itself is large and commodius, and we have loved it before because of the pools, outdoor hot tub, large rooms, etc. but our stay wasn't as great as it has been for us in the past. It think the hotel is ready for some investment in maintenance.

I was disappointed with our room and how smelly it was. Our room smelled like a wet dog most of the stay unfortunately. The room was clean but the smell just lingered throughout the 4 days we stayed. On the first evening my air conditioner didn't work however this was fixed soon after notifying the front desk. There was no telephone in my room so I had to call the hotel from my cellphone.

I liked the front desk clerk. She was courteous and helpful. I stayed at Manoir last year and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I even recommended it to several people for this year's trip to Quebec.

There was a lot of noise at night. The fridge was making some strange sounds, so I had to unplug it. Same for the heating. You can near the neighbors taking a shower (at 23:00 is not that fun) and people smashing the doors all night. Probably it was a busy day at the hotel, but for me wasn't very relaxing! Check-in between 16 and 18 pm and check-out 11 am seriously shrinks the day.

Clean room, decent furnishing. The breakfast was good. We played tennis (court needs a little love)
