The parasols at the beach are pretty but are crochet so not the best for keeping all the beds shaded. Would be better to have regular ones.

The hotel as a whole is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Location of the hotel was perfect for us. West Beach is a lively spot which we want when visiting Dubai. There’s a mini market within a 5 min walk and lots of local restaurants/beach clubs etc. Very easy to get a hala taxi right outside the hotel and the location on the Palm is handy for short taxi journeys to the Marina, Burj Khalifa/ dessert safari etc. In my opinion the hotel is more suited to singles and couples and not well suited for families due to the lively nature of West Beach. Our premium corner room was gorgeous and the views were magnificent. The room was spacious and had everything we needed eg fridge, toiletries, hairdryer, tea/coffee/water facilities all free of charge. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had a small miscommunication about our room and Hakim sorted this for us without hesitation. The cleaning staff are meticulous and the rooms are cleaned daily along with linen changes daily. Breakfast buffet was delicious. You can choose how you want your eggs. If you are a light eater at breakfast then it’s overpriced at £17 per head but totally worth it if you like a filling beakfast and a coffee. Having the local mini market means you can buy in breakfast in if you prefer continental and don’t want the expense of the breakfast buffet every day. Room service is 24hour and the food was lovely. The same menu is at the beach and poolside. The hotel doesn’t serve alcohol but this didn’t bother us as we generally had a tipple when we went out for dinner. The 2 onsite restaurants serve alcohol and the food and atmosphere was brilliant and they have happy hours and themed nights discounted. There’s also a coffee/cake shop in the lobby and an ATM/computers/tour companies for booking excursions. The 13th floor has a gym and spa which we didn’t use but they looked nice.

The sofa in the room blocked the entrance to the balcony. Room designs could be better.

The location is perfect. You can walk out onto the beach side and have plenty of bars and restaurants in both directions. If travelling down to the Club you can grab a golf buggy which are constantly driving up and down. The hotel being dry did not impact us as the two bars just outside do serve alcohol. We had a great time with live music and party nights right on our doorstep. Across the road there is a small mall for essentials. We only ate once in the hotel and the food was great.

On my checkout I asked for a taxi to the airport, the hotel staff ordered a "luxury taxi" for me, which was much more expensive (AED 150 instead of 90) without telling me that they ordered a special taxi. I did not ask for this, I was not informed about it. This is fraud!!

didnt like the pool and the experience of the beach. Pool area very small and really full (all day). same with beach. jampacked beach with furniture but in 42 degrees people need umbrella and compy sun bed not sofas and chairs in scorching heat :-(( Also the sofas were quite dirty

Loved the entrance lobby, reception area and my corner room with great views. The reception staff EXTREMELY SMILEY and NICE, helpful.Even the house keeping boys were absolutely great!

The rooms are badly soundproofed, you’ll hear everything from your neighbors; we had the feeling that a lot of young people are around to party -> noise; we could switch breakfast from the last day (where we had to leave at 5am) to the first (where we arrived very early) after a couple of calls; some of the sun loungers were defective and not really comfortable.

Breakfast on the rooftop (don’t know why we had it there and not on the first floor); Nice and modern setup of the room!
