300 metres from Hospital Cave, Cat Ba Countryside Homestay is a recently renovated property set in Cat Ba and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Such good value for money. Rooms are clean and spacious. We loved the location in a village up in the mountain. You do need a scooter to get around. Owner is super helpful and knows good English. Also the tours and bus tickets are super reasonable. They serve good food, too.

3.2 km from Hai Phong Opera House in Hoàng Mai, BBNC Homestay provides accommodation with access to spa facilities, wellness packages and beauty services. Great homestay, best one in haiphong. Made my trip much easier. I got all the information, help with simcard, etc from host. He speaks great English, in Hai Phong, that's not very common unless you check into a nice hotel maybe. Location is great, many local eateries in close proximity and restaurants, cafes not so far away. Aeon mall is a 15 minute walkaway. Lakes, pagodas, museum all accessable. The room easy very comfortable and neighbourhood is safe and quiet at night. The washing machine and water filter is a major plus.

We found that the restaurant menu is excellent for dinner, so we didn't need to go outside for good food. The rooms are nice and spacious.

The staff was very friendly . Loved all the amenities this resort had to offer. The breakfast buffet was amazing with lots of variety. The resort was quite clean as well .

The apartment is in quite good overall condition, good internet is available via WiFi, 2 spacious beds (you may find mattresses slightly hard), 2 A/Cs, personnel speaks English well

Located in Hai Phong, Flamingo Premium Lan Ha Bay Resort offers 5-star accommodation with a terrace and a bar. The rooms were lovely and very clean, we were in block 3 so there is a bit of walking between the blocks to use some of the facilities. The hotel was overrun with families, no tables available and the food for dinner was cold at times. It is a lovely hotel but the dining room was like a holiday camp at times. Definitely not a 4 star hotel but the staff were very pleasant and helpful and stored our bags for us safely on our last day. The bedrooms were clean and spacious but the hotel had vacant spots around almost unused. We had to have dinner 1 night in block two and it was chaos we arrived 15 mins after dinner started and no tables left inside we sat outside but no drinks service. The 2nd night they opened restaurant in block 3 which was a little better not as overcrowded. Breakfast was good and a large selection. If staying I wouldn’t go half board.
