Tung Quang Hotel is een accommodatie met 2 sterren tegenover het strand in Cat Ba met heeft een tuin, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. De hotelkamer was super proper en netjes. Was heel fijn vertoeven. Daarnaast waren de hotelmedewerkers super vriendelijk, behulpzaam en gastvrij. Ze hielpen ons met vervoer, met onze was, en andere dingen.

Cat Ba Countryside Homestay is gelegen in Cat Ba met uitzicht op de bergen en heeft een restaurant, een gedeelde lounge, bar, tuin, buitenzwembad dat het hele jaar door open is en terras. Such good value for money. Rooms are clean and spacious. We loved the location in a village up in the mountain. You do need a scooter to get around. Owner is super helpful and knows good English. Also the tours and bus tickets are super reasonable. They serve good food, too.

Made my trip much easier. I got all the information, help with simcard, etc from host. He speaks great English, in Hai Phong, that's not very common unless you check into a nice hotel maybe. Location is great, many local eateries in close proximity and restaurants, cafes not so far away. Aeon mall is a 15 minute walkaway. Lakes, pagodas, museum all accessable. The room easy very comfortable and neighbourhood is safe and quiet at night. The washing machine and water filter is a major plus.

Flamingo Premium Lan Ha Bay Resort ligt in Hai Phong, op een paar minuten lopen van Cat Co 1 Beach en heeft een terras, een bar en uitzicht op de zee. Dit hotel met 5 sterren biedt roomservice. The rooms were lovely and very clean, we were in block 3 so there is a bit of walking between the blocks to use some of the facilities. The hotel was overrun with families, no tables available and the food for dinner was cold at times. It is a lovely hotel but the dining room was like a holiday camp at times. Definitely not a 4 star hotel but the staff were very pleasant and helpful and stored our bags for us safely on our last day. The bedrooms were clean and spacious but the hotel had vacant spots around almost unused. We had to have dinner 1 night in block two and it was chaos we arrived 15 mins after dinner started and no tables left inside we sat outside but no drinks service. The 2nd night they opened restaurant in block 3 which was a little better not as overcrowded. Breakfast was good and a large selection. If staying I wouldn’t go half board.
