Everything was as good as the photos. A wonderful experience on HaLong Bay. Something everyone should do, and this boat really was special. The food was 1st class, cabins were very luxurious and the bathrooms were really wonderful. Staff exceptional.

300 metres from Hospital Cave, Cat Ba Countryside Homestay is a recently renovated property set in Cat Ba and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. We spent five wonderful days in Cat Ba. Initially, we planned to stay only two days at Countryside Homestay, but eventually extended to five days. The cleanliness, the courtesy of the hosts and the friendliness have convinced us completely. The food tasted fantastic (try the banana pancake with honey!). The view from our room was breathtaking. Note: to get to Cat Ba you have to rent a scooter).

It was very easy to check in, the owner came immediately after a call from the reception. The appartement was as on the pictures, even more beautiful! The sea view was AMAZING!!! There is a balcony where you could have a coffee/tea in the morning while admiring the view. It was even more breathtaking in the night time when the city lights out! Mr Thuy was amazing and helpful. We could ask anything, he made sure it’s done! He even followed up days after we left his appartement to be sure we were alright! It felt like being part of a family!
