This hotel was an excellent find and the staff were friendly and we felt very welcome and accomodated. Because of this we booked a second stay. When we returned a few days later and the staff at check in recognised us and even remembered the room we had. We had the evening dinner buffet and the food was excellent and a wide range of very tasty options.

The first impression when we got there was that we were at the wrong place. The entrance is beautiful but since there wasn’t anyone there it felt strange. But our host had left me a message with check in video instructions. The room and the dining room was so beautifully decorated. We had a great and restful night. The breakfast was delicious. And we such a wonderful view of the full moon.

The Parque do Rio Hotel built in the year 72 is situated in the Ophir pine forest, between the Cávado River and the protected coastline. It features 2 outdoor swimming pools and sun loungers. this place is an absolute gem! I loved the 70s vibe all over, really cool hotel, everything was clean, comfortable bed and good breakfast.
