Select Braemar Lodge & Spa is a luxurious lodge nestled in the foothills of the Southern Alps, close to the village of Hanmer Springs.

All suites include an open-plan sleeping and living area with LCD TV, gas fire and super-king size beds. Guests can pamper themselves in the marble bathroom with double spa bath and double shower. All suites have a private balcony, many with a hot tub. Room was spectacular with great views, great size. Spa bath best we have used. Facilities top class

Peppers Bluewater Resort is a 4.5-star hotel close to the shores of Lake Tekapo. This resort offers luxury accommodation, great views and is ideally positioned for exploring the Mackenzie Basin and Southern Alps. It is a 10-minute walk from the Church of the Good Shepherd. Location is at entrance of Tekapo town. Easy to find it. And the room has nice view of Lake Tekapo and mountain.

Methven Resort is just a 5-minute walk from the heart of Methven and a 3-minute drive from Methven Golf Club. Christchurch is a 1-hour and 10-minute drive away.

All heated rooms feature a flat-screen TV, a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Also on offer ironing facilities and a bathroom. Excellent check in service, the staff saw that we were in need of a power box while refreshing the room and provided one plugged in without us asking. Beds were very comfortable and the room was really warm, highly recommend staying here if you're looking in the area

Fabulous property, staff were extremely friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. Loved the hot tubs!
