A little tip: if you prefer milder flavors, do request them to tone down the spices. My stay was made even more memorable by the trips we took. The Galla Fort exudes historical charm, the tea trip was an enlightening journey into the world of tea-making, and the Kollaghan Lake was a visual feast with its picturesque islands, lively birds, playful monkeys, and yes, we even spotted a crocodile! MIRISSA Reef Serenity is gelegen in Mirissa, op een paar minuten lopen van Thalaramba Beach, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een terras en een restaurant. De locatie was top, vlak bij Mirissa maar toch heel rustig en een snorkelstrand op 500m wandelen. De eigenaars stonden ook steeds klaar met uitleg voor activiteiten of transport.

Weligama Temple Tree ligt in Weligama en biedt een tuin en gratis WiFi. Alle kamers hebben een eigen badkamer. De kamers hebben ook een terras. De kamers van het resort zijn voorzien van een zithoek. Prima als doorreis locatie Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding Ligging

Resort of Happiness ligt in de wijk Mirissa Beach in Mirissa, op 500 meter van Whale Watching Mirissa. Het beschikt over kamers met airconditioning, gratis WiFi in alle ruimtes en uitzicht op de tuin.... The beach and the main road were near the property. The beach restaurants were available at night by 10 minutes walking. It was about 30 minuets walk to coconut hill. The owner`s brother transmitted us to the bus stop by his tuktuk after checkout. We could see the small turtles in the beach. The room was very big and spacious.

This incredible property is one of the few to be situated right on the beach, with all the rooms overlooking the sea. Everything about this small hotel is wonderful! The swimming pool, also overlooking the ocean, has ample space to relax; and their restaurant has to be the best in the area. Everything we ate was delicious! We stayed for 4 nights and could happily have stayed longer. There is a natural tidal pool within easy walk and I had at least one turtle join me every time I swam there. My husband surfed right outside! No need for jumping into a tuk tuk to search for waves. Jamu surf hostel is just 2 roads away where daily drop in yoga classes are offered. Oh and best of all…the staff! So very friendly and helpful! All in all, a phenomenal stay!

Latheena Resort ligt op slechts een korte afstand van het populaire Mirissa Beach en beschikt over schone en comfortabele kamers. Dit was ons mooiste verblijf in Sri Lanka en is iedereen aan te raden!! Het hotel is werkelijk prachtig, de kamers zijn groot, luxe en schoon en super comfortabel. Niks op aan te merken. Daarbij lag het aan het strand (rustig gelegen) en kon je vanaf het strand is 15-20 minuten lopen naar het drukkere strand van Weligame. Dus de ligging was ook echt super goed. En het restaurant was echt de kers op de taart en was zo onwijs lekker, dat we alle drie de avonden daar hebben gegeten en genoten!

Prachtige plek in de jungle aan een waterval. Heel vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren. Het eten was super lekker.

The owner of this place is the nicest guy. The commute to the beach area is not complicated or long at all. It's not a drudgery because you constantly enjoy peacocks, storks and other promiscuous animals around. The owner can help you rent a scooter and you can park it under the canopy. This place helps you to unfold the true unimaginable vacation in Sri Lanka, and I will remember it vividly.
