The hosts are very communicative and helpful. We got hot spring water outdoor footbath and indoor bath. The kitchen is well-equipped with complete appliances. Our bedroom is comfortable with hot, cold, and dry air conditioner. Overall, the place is neat and clean. We easily went to Mount Omuro, izu shaboten zoo, and lake ippeki as day trip from the place. It is located 2 minutes walk from the Usami train station.

Hotel New Akao is a 10-minute ride from JR Atami Train Station, and a free shuttle is offered. Breakfast was limited to Jpse food but it was a nice variety of healthy, natural, and delicious items. Dinner at the Jpse restaurant was also quiet good and very reasonable for kaiseki dinner. Sake flight was very nice too, and service was excellent. The 7th floor deluxe king room was spacious, clean, well-equipped and had a great ocean view. The room has obviously been renovated, everything looked quite new. Confirmed on checkout that they used COVID downturn to renovate rooms. Both onsen baths were nice - use the one on B1 floor for best ocean view.

Conveniently located in the Izu Nagaoka Onsen district of Izunokuni, Kona Stay Bicycle Resort is set 8.8 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, 23 km from Mount Daruma and 42 km from Koibito Misaki Cape. It was a beautiful place located in an easy to find street. The staff were very kind and helpful especially when we were renting out their bicycles to get around the town.

Tsumagoi Resort Sai no Sato offers accommodation in Kakegawa. The resort has a hot spring bath and sauna, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. It was raining when we arrived and someone walked us in with an umbrella.
