Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. Atmospheric family owned hotel, we stayed in sea-view appartment and enjoyed it. Puffins are very close to the place.

Rural beauty, serene and off the beaten path. Like going under the rope at a museum and sleeping in the bed. Something spiritual about the place just made you want to slow down and be for awhile. Family dinners were a pleasant change to the hotel fare. Well worth the jog off the beaten path!
