I contacted the owner through WeChat before and he helped organizing transportation from the airport to the hotel and was really kind in answering all kind of questions. When we arrived he arranged a group chat with his staff which was great for communication. The redone farmhouse is a beautiful estate at the foot of the mountains. It is 3.5 km away from the South East gate of the park which is a rather quiet entrance gate. They drove us to the gate every morning and picked us up when we wanted to come back from the park. The view of the estate is breathtaking, it is quiet, the kids could run around freely and we had lovely home cooked dinners on the terrace. The rooms are spacious, the beds are really comfortable and everyone was really helpful and friendly. Breakfast is Chinese style. They provided fruits every morning and made the room every day! While we were there they started also building a new swimming pool which should be ready to use by July :)

No.5 Valley Inn ligger omgivet af grønne planter, 2 km fra vestporten (Yangjiajie-billetlugen) til Zhangjiajie-skovnationalparken. The views from the hotel were amazing and peaceful! The staff went above and beyond with our needs and was very thoughtful. There are activities to participate and cute pets to play with. Super close to the national park (5mins away).

There is a free shuttle service from and to the station. There is a restaurant with an electronic menu, which is very convenient. The lobby and restaurant area is stylishly decorated. For communication, the hosts used a translation gadget and downloaded our language - it's just wow! We had pre-booked tickets for attractions. The hotel has an elevator and the room has smart curtains that open themselves. One of the best hotels we have visited in China.

The room exceeded my expectations, in features and size. It was quiet and elegant. The breakfast buffet was abundant and delicious. The staff tried hard and was very helpful, even though I did not speak Chinese. I used the laundry and the massage service, and both were excellent. I would choose to stay here again. The overall hotel was nicer than the listing presented.
