Outside grounds were very nice. Subway across the street and gas station. Blackwater State Park and Canaan Valley Resort very close.

Operations at the hotel are scaled back because ski season is finished but spring/summer hasn't really begun. Dinner at the Hickory restaurant was fine but nothing fantastic (we ordered a basic burger and chicken sandwich). Did not eat breakfast at the hotel but it was offered in the restaurant.
