Travelers who really want to “get away from it all” trust resorts to provide the pinnacle of all-inclusive relaxation. Resort guests are invited to enjoy communal on-site amenities like pools, spas, restaurants, activities, excursions, and shops, and stay the night in luxurious private rooms, villas, or apartments.
The location was optimal. The resort was beautiful despite being under construction from hurricane Ian. All the staff was friendly and helpful. There were things to do and some of the restaurants were open. It was quiet because there weren’t many people there.
South Seas is nowhere near ready to welcome guests in large numbers. We were not able to use the main resort facilities and since the facilities allocated to us were not good - no restaurant, bar, pool out of bounds being painted, no beach furniture provided (weren’t allowed to use main beach loungers and parasols), television next to useless as no cable and unable to cast. Lots of contractors on site, lots of debris, noise and in emptied dumpsters. Such a shame - beautiful location.
Captiva is an island with a “private feel”, this place does not disappoint! This is a big resort with cottages and houses on the grounds. Transportation is mostly golf carts and a trolly, serious beach vibes. Guests are mostly families, everyone was kind and happy. There’s private beaches with beautiful sunsets, restaurants and entertainment! You would be crazy NOT coming here. Secret Spot I probably shouldn’t have shared.
Not much. Staff was rude, don’t care attitude. The resort claims things close at sunset. Not true when staff is done. They clean up and take umbrellas down. Claim high winds! As a meteorologist I was dumbfounded.
Love Captiva. Would be nice to have access to other amenities at resort
