My wife and I do a lot of traveling and I must say the Thalassa Dive Resort does it right. The food is plentiful and fresh, the grounds are well kept, the bungalows and villas are comfortable, and there is world class wall and muck diving minutes away. However, the real gem at Thalassa are the genuinely friendly staff. The manager Arjen personally took the time to find out our interests and provided with top notch concierge service arranging all of our activities during our stay, along with joining us for some meals and taking us on a tour of Manado. The rest of the staff made us feel like part of their family with endless smiles and lots of conversation. One of the young ladies even joined us on a dive on her day off work. We can’t wait until our next visit.

IT was a pleasure for us to speak with HIM and he told us so much about the Hotel, the area, His Islands He came from and so on. Also the people in the Village before the Hotel where very friendly!

Located directly on the sea just outside the city in a spacious park area, it offers everything you need. Nice bungalows with AC, very good catering (we ate à la carte, not from the buffet) as well as cordial and helpful staff. Dive boats to Bunaken leave directly from the hotel's own beach. The resort also organizes tours into the hinterland. We were on a number of volcanoes (Empung, Mahawi and Soputan) as well as in Tangkoko National Park. Everything was perfectly organized and breathtakingly beautiful.

The staff are kind and helpful. The bathroom is unique and the room is big enough for our family of 3 people. They set the sofa into a bed for our teenage boy and he loves it! :)

It is a very good middle ground resort and that is their business niche which is important in that there are several very expensive resorts at one end of the resort spectrum and home stays at the other end. This is positioned right in the middle and perfect for divers that want to experience coral and muck diving. Their motto is leave as a friend and they meet that goal. Staff are great.

The staff both on the resort and diving center were extremely helpful, and provided a professional service with a smile. The bungalows are tastefully decorated and in good condition. The garden, restaurant, pool area... everything works well. The diving in the area is as good as it gets. Even snorkling you can get really close to the marine life.

The bungalows are a natural part of the environment, with glass windows and doors. It is like living in and with nature. The staff is very friendly and supportive, the owner is a great inspirator, not only about diving and holiday making, also about social work in the village. We had a very relaxing, warm and inspiring holiday!
