I enjoyed it being so secluded from pretty much everywhere with little to no signal! It’s a good place to escape from the city life with breathtaking views wherever you would look. The owners hospitality was exceptional and you felt very welcomed!

Montusi Mountain Lodge offers a bar and is located 44 km from Bergville. Guests receive free Wi-Fi access, a children's playground and a swimming pool. Fabulous food in a delightful venue. It could not have been better! The whole experience was a like a fabulous dream!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place is spacious and clean. We had a bed for everybody (4 double beds in 3 bedrooms). There were 2 tvs both having DSTV and Netflix so that the kids can watch different shows to us. No load shedding! The place is set up so the TV's and lights continue to work despite load shedding. There is even a power bank so that you can charge your devices. Gas cooktop so that you can still cook as well. Plenty of cookware, crockery and cutlery available. We really enjoyed our stay, it was a lovely break away from home.

Set in picturesque Bonjaneni, this 4-star hotel complex offers contemporary accommodation with stunning views of the Drakensberg Mountains. We got an amazing last minute deal for 4 of us to stay 3 nights in a 6 sleeper chalet and it made it all the more wonderful! The views are amazing - you are right there in the mountains (we previously stayed at Amphitheatre Backpackers which is set further back) and have options to do some short hikes from the lodge which is great. We did the Tugela Falls hike from here as well (drove 1.5 hours to Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge and took the shuttle from there to Sentinel car park) which is a bit of a long day but totally worth it and not many alternatives for staying closer either anyway. The chalet was very comfortable, the kitchen was furnished with a very modern fridge & oven/stove which was nice. There was a double ensuite room upstairs and two twin rooms downstairs with a second bathroom. The windows throughout the chalet are huge so that you can truly enjoy the views. We were lucky that it was very quiet when we stayed, or perhaps it's always like that as the chalets are quite well spaced from one another, so you just get the sounds of nature rather than people and other noises. There are plenty of activities at the resort: swimming pools, tennis, squash, put-put, giant chess as well as organised games and kids activities (which we didn't do). There are restaurants & a bar (which we didn't go to) as well as a shop which I found to be quite reasonably priced. Nearby is also the All Out Adventure centre for those looking to do any more activities. The staff were all wonderful and the chalet was serviced daily. There was free WiFi which worked well.

Situated in the Maloti Drakensberg Transfrontier Conservation Area, Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge overlooks the Drakensberg's Sentinel Peak and Amphitheatre. Everything was clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly and helpful!
