Food was absolutely wonderful. Staff were amazing - friendly, efficient and professional. Having spent countless days in the South African bush, this was a step above it all. To have a game ranger like Martin conducting our twice daily drives was the “cherry on the top”. His lovely attitude, enthusiasm and incredible knowledge makes the Safari Lodge a definite return location.

Set against a cliff above the Bushman's River valley, Woodbury Lodge is located in the malaria-free area of the Amakhala Game Reserve. I like the experience of sleeping inside the reserve. Very nice! The people working there are top! Kudos!

Gorgeous tented camp set in a lush area, lovely main building with excellent meals served by friendly, attentive staff, tents set off individually for privacy, each with a sweeping view of the preserve. Our guide, Lenny, was very experienced and we learned much about the many animals we saw - lion, cheetah, elephant, rhino, giraffe, many kinds of antelope, warthog, more! We did 6 3 -hour drives; suggest booking enough time to do at least 4-6.

Situado no hotel de safári Amakala Big Five, o Bush Lodge oferece uma experiência particular de acomodação. I absolutely loved everything about this stay! All of the staff were so attentive, friendly and professional. They really made me feel at home. All of the little touches and attention to detail were so appreciated and made the stay extra special. The setting was idyllic, the ‘tent’ was lovely and comfortable and the food was delicious. The game drives blew my mind. I still can’t believe all of the animals we were able to see. I kept track and we saw 62 different animals over the 6 drives! The interactions were just incredible. That was thanks to Jono Vision! Jono’s passion and enthusiasm for the animals and his commitment to making sure we were well taken care of was next level. This was my very first safari and the bar has been set high! Thanks to all who made it such a great stay!

It was our first experience of a game reserve and it didn’t disappoint! From start to finish it was just amazing in every way. Our Guide called Teacher was the absolute best!!!

The camp is set out amazing. Drive to camp is bumpy but once there you should stay minimum 2 days. Lots of space, very comfortable and recently renovated. Pictures advertised on Booking.Com doesn’t do it justice, the place is better. To the marketers: add more pictures of the shared lounges, swimming pool, braai areas and porches. A aerial picture of the setup could explain a lot. Use a drone for this. Ideal for couples with no children to rest and rejuvenate. Everything is there, however self catering. We brought a CADAC Skottelbraai which we recommend the establishment to invest and keep handy for guests use in the mornings for breakfast. The beds and rooms were of a high standard and were warm. We will book again, love it!

Com vista do jardim, o Bushys Oak oferece acomodações com jardim e varanda térrea, a cerca de 8,6 km do Memorial Dias Cross. The house is large and comfortable. Perfect for families. It even had an ice machine! There was no load shedding at all, which was a pleasant change. The area felt safe and the beach nearby is fantastic!
