A Medford ci sono stata soltanto perché è la città più vicina per andare al Crater Lake, parco nazionale dell'Oregon costituito da un lago di un blu stupendo. Medford è sulla I5, ci sono molti ristoranti e pub in centro, consigliato muoversi in auto perché è abbastanza trafficata.

Portland é una cittá particolare, un pò fuori dagli standard americani. Un pò "hipster", un pò "fricchettona", l'ideale per chi cerca qualcosa di diverso. La birra è un must da queste parti, e la cucina ha mille sfaccettature diverse e tendono molto ad osare su cose fuori dagli schemi.
