You stay right at the forest edge. They even have a beautiful platform with a great view on swamp and forest from where we saw many birds and even some wildlife. The rooms are comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Special mention to the staff who made our stay amazing! Barnabas, Moses and Careen made us feel right at home. Barnabas also arranged a very skilled local birding guide with whom we went birding for two days.

The facilities were great, it has breakfast included with many different options and they were tasty. The host, Ivan, is an encyclopedia of knowledge on Uganda and surrounding areas. He helped book a tour for me and also transport to the border with Rwanda. I would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful stay! Gideon and Esther were above and beyond welcoming. The gated house has two rooms with attached bathrooms, along with other rooms I didn't see, but my guide stayed in. They provided a warm, local dinner and great conversation. We had tea together and fresh fruits and juice were provided upon my arrival. Their son came by and was enjoyable to talk to. He is an eco-conservationist and manages a nearby zip line you should check out. They leant me soap and basins for washing my clothes and had clothes lines in the back, surrounded by a growing veggie garden we ate from. They don't have permanent wifi yet, but their son provides a fast hotspot through a phone left overnight. When you meet good, local people during long travels, you feel at home. I hope they are doing well and that more people visiting Kisoro stay in this accommodating homestay!

Ntebeko Homestay er staðsett í Kisoro, 1,5 km frá Mgahinga Gorilla-þjóðgarðinum og býður upp á garð og garðútsýni. Bernard the caretaker was fantastic from start to finish and he had a lovely support team both at the homestay and at the sister accommodation Amajambere Iwacu Community Camp, where the meals are. Bernard has a boda boda and very kindly met us in Kisoro and drove us to Ntebeko River Camp. He also found out where the gorillas were for my trek the next day and as they were not near Ntebeko he took me to breakfast at Amajambere Iwacu Community Camp and then to the appropriate gate. After the trek he was there to meet me and take me back to Ntbeko. Excellent service. Our accommodation had very comfortable beds and lovely new en suite bathrooms with hot showers. It was very nice to have a separate sitting / dining room to relax in and it was also nice to have the verandah overlooking the private garden to sit outside on. The food was very good at Amajambere Iwacu Community Camp and there was a lot of it ! It was nice to meet other people there and the dining room had a lovely log fire in the evening. Edison is excellent at responding to messages and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend Ntbeko River Camp.

Karstle Camp er 38 km frá Mgahinga Gorilla-þjóðgarðinum og býður upp á gistingu með garði, bar og herbergisþjónustu, gestum til þæginda. Ókeypis WiFi er í boði. Everything! The staff is remarkable. The community involvement is amazing. They go out of the way to help. The food was top notch. Room was good. Shower hot and strong. But really the people make this place.
