They even have a beautiful platform with a great view on swamp and forest from where we saw many birds and even some wildlife. The rooms are comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Special mention to the staff who made our stay amazing! Barnabas, Moses and Careen made us feel right at home. Barnabas also arranged a very skilled local birding guide with whom we went birding for two days.

He hiked with us to a nice viewpoint and we could store our lugagge, when we went to the Nationalpark. Good breakfast and restaurant, big and clean rooms.

Gideon and Esther were above and beyond welcoming. The gated house has two rooms with attached bathrooms, along with other rooms I didn't see, but my guide stayed in. They provided a warm, local dinner and great conversation. We had tea together and fresh fruits and juice were provided upon my arrival. Their son came by and was enjoyable to talk to. He is an eco-conservationist and manages a nearby zip line you should check out. They leant me soap and basins for washing my clothes and had clothes lines in the back, surrounded by a growing veggie garden we ate from. They don't have permanent wifi yet, but their son provides a fast hotspot through a phone left overnight. When you meet good, local people during long travels, you feel at home. I hope they are doing well and that more people visiting Kisoro stay in this accommodating homestay!
